Great little diner on Highway 96 in Seiad Valley

Terrific diner food served hot and fresh. Serving only breakfast and lunch, my wife and I are weekly regulars here. Adequate portions of breakfast items, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and really good milkshakes. If you are a local, you must attend to keep up on the river gossip!

Had a great time when we needed to feed the kids. They were very kind and were happy to hear our daughters screeching with excitement at the toys they have there! Yummy food!

Recently on a bow hunting trip my daughter and I had the honor of eating at this establishment the first day we made it there late after we came down the mountain for ice in the near 100+ degree weather they had just closed almost 10 minutes but there was a few hikers coming out so I walked into see... Go here to chat with locals and the staff. Everyone I'd very friendly. This is NOT your typical highway cafe. It is tiny and geared to pacific crest hikers who can be dirty and smelly but fascinating to talk to. We had eggs, sausage, huge piece of ham, 1/2 order sausage gravy & biscuits (plenty). A fun experience and we... More

Wow! I was not expecting this place to have such good food! I was expecting the average American fare/greasy spoon diner, which it essentially is...but BETTER! (So much better!) I had the bacon, chicken, avocado, tomato wrap for lunch. OMG. Seriously...hands down, it was awesome! I live in the SF Bay Area, ya know...that place where we got more restaurants... More

Great burgers and friendly service in the wilderness. Good value for money. We had burgers with french fries and salad. It's a western experience on its own. This is a nice stop on Hwy 96 where there are not that many good options. There is also a store attached for all necessessities such as macaronin and cheese and fishing bait.

Nothing fancy, nice people, alt of food for the money, and what else is there? Almost overkill in terms of food put on plates. A real 'must see' place for those who love cruise ship food and/or plenty of gut busting food.
