We are a husband & wife chef team so we have 2 kinds of food: rustic Northern Italian (meaning we make all our own salami, pasta, gelato) and playful Americana (meaning we take American classics and update them with a twist). we grow up to 30% of our own produce and have our own chickens for the eggs for our pasta. otherwise, we support local, sustainable and diverse agriculture and economy in our purchasing choices. We make our own bacon and salami from heritage pork that is antibiotic and hormone free and free range. You can order our bacon from our website www.zazurestaurant.com. Great place for brunch, drinks with friends, and farm to table food

Zazu has fabulous home cured meats, fresh local food, and interesting combinations. I'm adventurous and even I find a few of their creations TOO adventurous (bacon-smoked hard apple cider, e.g). Meat and meat flavors don't belong in every dish including drinks and desserts, in my humble opinion... read more

Lots of pork and bacon at Zazu. Though I just had a hamburger with a slice of Liberty Duck pate, THE BEST BURGER I've ever had. Brussels sprouts with bacon are highly recommended. While the carmel popcorn with bacon sounds fabulous, it could use a little more salty bacon. We didn't eat much of it as an appetizer but we... More

My wife and I had a late lunch (2pm) on a Thursday afternoon (2/4/16). Dining room was virtually empty. I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day (Italian Bean) which was delicious and my wife ordered the cup of the spicy soup with a small side of grilled cheese sandwich. The problem was the extraordinarily slow kitchen, where... More

Stopped by with my wife, traveling between Sonoma to Bodega Bay, for Sunday brunch. They did not disappoint. Great bacon and great corn beef hash. Well worth the stop, and I'm sure I will again in the near future. Thanks Zazu! I'll be ordering some bacon now!

Went to eat for the first time and brought some out of the country visitors for dinner. We all ordered different things, I ordered the one veggie plate offered. For the price the portions on the veggie plate were small, the other items ordered were ample but nothing extra special. On a good note, their bacon popcorn is good.....

Not even tasty, really folks, do you think nothing but pork is good for your health? Even the ice cream had bacon fat in it...

Didn't realize we would have brunch rather than lunch, and what a lucky surprise. We've had lots of great meals, appetizers, and this was our first brunch. Both of us went straight for the bacon eggs Benedict. Smart move! A very generous meal with perfect flavors and bacon! Did I mention the bacon?

Notice that I say 'food' first! That is indeed the first reason one ventures out to eat in the first place isn't it? Although I loved the home appeal of the original Zazu location... it is now surely more accessible to many in its newest location at the Sebastopol Barlow Center. Whether it is having the legendary tomato soup and... More

Had lunch there with my wife and son, we were all amazed at the selection of farm fresh dishes on the menu. The green fried heirloom tomatoes are a must! The selection of cured pork was awesome, never had bacon so thick cut and flavorful on a sandwich. We would definitely revisit this amazing restaurant the next time we visit... More

Our group of seven women family members started off our Sonoma County weekend experience with a lovely late lunch at Zazu Kitchen. The servers accommodated our group sitting a little off to the back of the restaurant, helpful for conversation. All of our choices were interesting and tasty; I enjoyed a spicy tomato soup and a divine grilled cheese sandwich.... More
