Description: We are a husband & wife chef team so we have 2 kinds of food: rustic Northern Italian (meaning we make all our own salami, pasta, gelato) and playful Americana (meaning we take American classics and update them with a twist). we grow up to 30% of our own produce and have our own chickens for the eggs for our pasta. otherwise, we support local, sustainable and diverse agriculture and economy in our purchasing choices. We make our own bacon and salami from heritage pork that is antibiotic and hormone free and free range. You can order our bacon from our website www.zazurestaurant.com. Come stroll through our chef's garden! We have PIZZA & PINOT nights Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. For breakfast or lunch any day, try our sister restaurant, BOVOLO, up in Healdsburg, on the square inside Copperfield's books.

Zazu does a nice job with food; we love sitting in the outdoor patio. Nothin' fancy, as these were industrial buildings, but this town loves to recycle! I am sorry that the person above did not receive service - we live here and have never had that problem. See you there!

Our server was excellent...she described each dish as if it were a work of art. Soup was great, the wings crunchy and well spiced, and the quail was perfectly prepared. Main courses were half a duck (carve it yourself), a to die for hamburger, and a steak dish that melted in your mouth. Save room for dessert - the peanut... More

New location in Sebastopol. Very energetic atmosphere in newer 'industrial building' Great menu items with lots of local and organic choices. Love it!

We walked in, got seated right away. 20 minutes later, nothing. We have our menu sitting on the table for just as long, no one came to take our order, no one even looked our way. We left and went to a restaurant across the street and watched. Our table wasnt cleared until 10 minutes later. It's not bad service... More

This was our first visit to Zazu. We were there for a birthday party. Trisha was our server and she was beyond helpful. Since this was our first time she took the time to explain the dishes and answer all of our questions. Trisha went above and beyond in making our dining experience exceptional. There were 9 of us and... More

Always a fun place: great bar with good cocktails. Try the tamarind chicken wings. Some like the pastrami sandwich made with pig's heart pastrami. Be prepared to see many meaty offerings, but also some fish and vegetarian dishes. The menu is seasonal, so be prepared to be surprised each time.

We tried out Zazu in their new location. We had not been to the old location in a while, but when they moved to Sebastopol we had to go since it is so close to home. The food was excellent. We each ordered the half duck, so that we got a whole duck with two sides. Exquisite. I asked if... More

I hear people (foodies) rave about this place all time... I am just not one of them. The menu is an eclectic mix of interesting sounding items, most of which required an explanation and a large bankroll. I ordered a roasted veggie plate with hummus and a cup of soup. The soup was very tasty. The roasted veggies were cold... More

Winning meats here! This place is NOT for the squeamish vegetarian. I don't even call this place Zazu, I call it Carnage. Bacon wrapped dates are a must. Get at least 3 per person. Don't doubt me. Just do it. The menu changes frequently, so don't get attached (I will boycott this place if they ever nix the bacon wrapped... More

Overpriced for the quality. Noisy and too trendy, with a specific following, yet the menu seems tired and too reliant upon the pork raising and processing side business.
