We are a husband & wife chef team so we have 2 kinds of food: rustic Northern Italian (meaning we make all our own salami, pasta, gelato) and playful Americana (meaning we take American classics and update them with a twist). we grow up to 30% of our own produce and have our own chickens for the eggs for our pasta. otherwise, we support local, sustainable and diverse agriculture and economy in our purchasing choices. We make our own bacon and salami from heritage pork that is antibiotic and hormone free and free range. You can order our bacon from our website www.zazurestaurant.com. Come stroll through our chef's garden! We have PIZZA & PINOT nights Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. For breakfast or lunch any day, try our sister restaurant, BOVOLO, up in Healdsburg, on the square inside Copperfield's books.

Great spot for lunch in a cool town

The combination of good service, great food, and tasty beer make for a nice experience. Their chicken sandwich was excellent, but after having a bite of my sons beef cheek pastrami, I wanted a redo. Their macaroni and cheese is also outstanding.

Went for my birthday lunch, not sure I enjoyed it as much as I wanted to. Nothing bad, service was good, food was beautifully presented and well prepared - just missed the mark somehow. Definitely miss the warmth of the old location.

The Fourth of July weekend dinner was excellent. The outdoor location had umbrellas to shield the sun rays and heaters to neutralize the wind and cold. The table next to the side walk was a perfect location to watch passer byers. Our bichon-poodle was comfortable under the table. Zazu is dog friendly. The staff is friendly and professional. They are... More

MEH! It was dissappointing after viewing programs on Food Network. Thought we were going to a super restaurant. We had to go twice because the houses were diverse. We didn't get to try bacon cupcakes because they only make those certain days. BLT was good, As good as anywhere else. We had carmel bacon popcorn and a burger. But I... More

I went to the Zazu's in San Francisco and totally loved it. I've been there several times. My young adult daughter lived in SF and Zazu's was her favorite! The breakfast, particularly the waffles and berries, are spectacular. It is a busy restaurant with very friendly servers. I think it is owned by a young woman who started it on... More

Every possible dish touched by pork was divine from the popcorn to the salumi. The beet salad-not sure if it was roasted or caramelized or what, had an amazing concentrated taste. The fromage blanc sorbet was exceptional. The decor is open and airy and the bar an inviting and roomy place to sit.

Fun place, always lively, food is amazing as is their wine list. They have special cocktail menu for those who prefer cocktails to wine. Menu changes based on availability of product since they support local farmers, etc., but I've never been disappointed with their offerings. Casual environment, but still special enough for a celebratory event. Could be challenging for vegetarians... More

Amazing service and amazing food! Come hungry and order a variety of items so you can taste all Zazu has to offer. The artisan salumis and cheese are out of this world, not to mention the bacon wrapped dates, turmeric cauliflower and pimento cheese. Oh, and don't forget to go ahead and place that order when you arrive for the... More

I am not sure if it was an off day or what. The corkage fee is too high for the area (considering local restaurants charge $15). The food is good but way over priced for what you get. I hope they get their act together. Service was a challenge.

This is a great farm to table restaurant. The menu is based on foods in season. So, there were a couple of items that I wanted to try but they didn't have. I forgive them though because The food we did order was very fresh and flavorful. The bacon is AMAZING! I even had a Bloody Mary with a strip... More
