We are a husband & wife chef team so we have 2 kinds of food: rustic Northern Italian (meaning we make all our own salami, pasta, gelato) and playful Americana (meaning we take American classics and update them with a twist). we grow up to 30% of our own produce and have our own chickens for the eggs for our pasta. otherwise, we support local, sustainable and diverse agriculture and economy in our purchasing choices. We make our own bacon and salami from heritage pork that is antibiotic and hormone free and free range. You can order our bacon from our website www.zazurestaurant.com. Come stroll through our chef's garden! We have PIZZA & PINOT nights Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. For breakfast or lunch any day, try our sister restaurant, BOVOLO, up in Healdsburg, on the square inside Copperfield's books.

Brunch

We were staying with friends in Bodega Bay and they brought us here for brunch. The service was excellent/friendly/not rushed and the food was tasty and slightly different to the usual brunch offered in similar establishments. I went for broke with waffles with the famous bacon in them and they... read more

I went to the Zazu's in San Francisco and totally loved it. I've been there several times. My young adult daughter lived in SF and Zazu's was her favorite! The breakfast, particularly the waffles and berries, are spectacular. It is a busy restaurant with very friendly servers. I think it is owned by a young woman who started it on... More

Every possible dish touched by pork was divine from the popcorn to the salumi. The beet salad-not sure if it was roasted or caramelized or what, had an amazing concentrated taste. The fromage blanc sorbet was exceptional. The decor is open and airy and the bar an inviting and roomy place to sit.

Fun place, always lively, food is amazing as is their wine list. They have special cocktail menu for those who prefer cocktails to wine. Menu changes based on availability of product since they support local farmers, etc., but I've never been disappointed with their offerings. Casual environment, but still special enough for a celebratory event. Could be challenging for vegetarians... More

Amazing service and amazing food! Come hungry and order a variety of items so you can taste all Zazu has to offer. The artisan salumis and cheese are out of this world, not to mention the bacon wrapped dates, turmeric cauliflower and pimento cheese. Oh, and don't forget to go ahead and place that order when you arrive for the... More

I am not sure if it was an off day or what. The corkage fee is too high for the area (considering local restaurants charge $15). The food is good but way over priced for what you get. I hope they get their act together. Service was a challenge.

This is a great farm to table restaurant. The menu is based on foods in season. So, there were a couple of items that I wanted to try but they didn't have. I forgive them though because The food we did order was very fresh and flavorful. The bacon is AMAZING! I even had a Bloody Mary with a strip... More

Took my mom here for Mother's Day. Had a great dinner. It's definitely a popular place! I like the focus on fresh and local ingredients. I had the black cod and my mom had the lasagna...both great choices. They also have a nice selection of beers and wine.

The wife and I visited with some good friends who live in Sebastopol and they setup where we were going out to eat. Zazu Kitchen +Farm was their pick. It had a menu that had some very different in such a great way, not the normal boring picks. We started with Bacon Carmel Popcorn (Sinfully good) and their Chicken Wings... More

Located in Barlow Center, Zazu is delightful place to have outdoor lunch on a sunny day (cover by umbrellas); lunch fare was tasty and service prompt and friendly.
