We live in Sacramento and every time we come to Bodega Bay we make it a point to go here. It's so hard to decide what to get because everything is great. Watch out for the scones, they're killer! A word of warning though, they are only open on the weekends (Friday-Saturday) and come early because the best stuff goes... More

This is an off-the-beaten-path bakery, garden/orchard that is one of those hidden gems that, after having experienced it, you only wish you had found it sooner! The round bread loaves have a crunchy outer crust and wonderfully soft inside. The scones were huge and there were so many different flavors to try. The sticky buns were amazing! The breads and... California Slow Food! Not just fresh-baked bread from a wood-fired oven but many flavours to chose from blending fresh herb, vegetable and Sonoma cheese ingredients. Wildflour bread is from a parallel universe where white bread does not exist. The people love what they do there and it shows.

I went here with my daughter, son in law and grand babies. It was a great place to stop and get a nice brunch/bread snack. I got two sconces that were very unique in flavor. They were great. Then we got the sticky bread too. Yum! Hope to return soon with my hubby.

After attending my brother's wedding near Muir Woods in Marin County last summer and it being our first time in Cali, we decided to head up 101 towards Sebastopol the next morning in search of this bakery that I read about, where they bake bread from scatch in their brick oven fired by wood . Well being a bread lover... More

The US bread tradition seems to be heavily influenced by England and Scandinavia whose breads are spongy and tasteless for the most part. In some places in my home state California you can get excellent white bread/baguette made by Vietnamese or Argentineans. It is hard to find a German or Austrian style bread, i.e. a darker dough with a crunchy... More

The bakery is unmatched anywhere in the area and therefore attracts huge crowds of waiting customers. A friend recently had her wallet stolen by a skilled pair of pickpockets lurking in the crowd.

We stopped here while staying in Sebastopol to pick up some baked goodies for breakfast. It is a beautiful drive and a fun place to stop. Highly recommend the scones, but the sticky rolls were not quite to our liking (we're used to sticky buns from Amish country in Pennsylvania and prefer those).

We frequent this place when we bike through the area. Excellent scones and bread. You will not be disappointed.

These two loaves of bread were terrific. We also enjoyed their free garden just outside. If you are coming west on Bodega Highway out of Sebastopol, turn right at the Bohemian Highway just before you reach the Joseph Phelps Vineyard, then the bakery is very quick on your left side.
