Authentic Mexican Seafood

I highly recommend the Especial Puerto Nuevo ($13.99) with fish, shrimp, scallops, and octopus in a Ranchero sauce. The octopus in this dish is some of the best I've ever had. A nearby table ordered ceviche and I'll be back for that. A very casual place with great prices and authentic Mexican... read more

Thank you Trip Advisor. I would have never found this place. VERY casual, a little quirky, but the food was awesome. Seafood with zing. Not a lot of atmosphere, but if you are hungry and looking for good food, this is it.

Food and service were very good. Decent prices. They serve a lot of seafood so the place smelled very fishy. Also served my beer with a salted shrimp on top of the can which was a little weird.

This has become a go-to spot for quality Mexican food on the Peninsula. It is way above the normal standard for this area, on a par with the better places in San Jose or Southern California. What is the most important thing with seafood? It has to be extremely fresh, with options that don't always mean soaking up a lot... More

We are on a trip primarily to see family, heard about this place, and gave it a try. It was a pleasant surprise in every way. It is clean and pleasantly decorated, the service was friendly and very professional, the servings enormous, and the food very, very good. And it is really very inexpensive. If we lived here we would... More

This was recommended by the hotel, but when we arrived I had my doubts. They were misplaced. Great service and authentic Mexican food. Fish was great and I don't like fish too much. Go for it!

A place the locals frequent. Good food in a friendly atmosphere. But avoid the artificially flavored margaritas which also seem to have little if any alcohol. Miriscada -- a fajita-like sizzling platter of shrimp, scallops, calimari, mussels and clams and a wonderful piece of breaded and fried fish is delicious.

Lots of local people probably don't eat here because it is located in Seaside and lots of local people just look down their nose on this little town. That means lots of people are missing just the best Mexican food --especially seafood--on the Monterey Peninsular I had a wonderful pulpo (octopus) cerviche tostada topped with a couple of shrimp and... Walked to the Restaurant from the Embassy Suites. Nice easy walk and we had Paella Mexicana & Mariscada family style. Both dishes were awesome and the kids and I devoured everything. Food quantity was enough for 4 adult appetites and it was seasoned to perfection. We wanted dessert but we couldn't find the room. Don't miss this local gem if... More

We eat here regularly and this little hole in the wall is a gem. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful and don’t mind explaining unfamiliar dishes to the ole gringa! There is also one of these in Soledad, Ca. Breakfast is outstanding and the chilequilles to die for but my favorites are the oxtail dish with a rich... More
