Taken here by relatives. Service reasonably fast and very friendly. Menu varied enough. Plenty of baked chips and good salsa. Everyone got huge portions including my carne asada. Margaritas were a bit weak says my wife. I thought $5.50 was steep for a Negra Modelo. I can get a whole six pack at home in New England for $9. All... More

The food is just average....nothing very special. There is no spice to the food and that is to bad as Mexican food should have a little spice to it. The guacamole was extremely disappointing and the service was slow. Seemed that the wait staff was more interested in eating their own dinner than serving it to the guests.

We recently had a "throwdown" in the office and brought in chips and salsa from various Mexican restaurants in the area. Our office voted Jose's as having the best chips & salsa! Their enchiladas, tostadas and tacos are delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient. It's not fancy- but the food is yummy!

I have always loved Jose's food, even when it was in Monterey. Went there on a Sunday with a friend and wanted to use my Restaurant.com certificate. They argued with me over it and said they no longer were established with Restaurant.com. Those certificates are not suppose to expire and the restaurants are told this when they sign the contract.... More

Went in on a Thursday evening for our first time and we loved it! It was decently crowded, but we had no trouble getting a table for 2. We got guacamole to go with the chips/salsa. Also we got nachos, and for dinner one of us had a chimichanga with chicken, and the other had carnitas. Everything was delicious! It... More

We've eaten at this small family owned and operated restaiurant several times and keep coming back. The food is high quality and authentic. My favorite meal is the chile verde with corn tortillas. The tomatillo sauce that surrounds the sumptuous pork is delicious. Try the tap cervezas. I like Modelo Especial.as a perfect addition to the meal. Sometimes I have... More

I stumbled across this little restaurant as I saw how crowded it was. I was seated quickly and had a drink and chips within 5 mins. The food then arrived quickly and it was the best Mexican Fish Tacos I have every Had!! Nancy was my waitress and she was wonderful and very attentive to not only me, but all... More

We had late breakfast, both of us ordered Huevos Rancheros. Very good! Great salsa! Restaurant décor is typical of most small family-owned businesses. Staff is very cordial and helpful. Only downfall is lack of parking. Paid $10 to park next door to restaurant. Would choose this restaurant again.

Tried this place because I have seen it for years. It's a very standard Mexican place with uninspired food. Wife's shrimp cocktail was actually very good, lots of very good shrimp. My chile verde was ok with the standar beans and rice. Service was good with a good atmosphere.
