Close, but...

Good prices, cheerful staff and the food is healthier than most taquerias, but the tastes are just barely under what you'd expect from a neighborhood joint. Still a good spot, especially for the health conscious eater.

Went here for lunch with a friend. She loved her veggie bowl with black beans. I had a burrito with carnitas. Flour tortilla was left open on one end for easy access to the carnitas. The black beans in the burrito were tasty. The shredded cabbage was lightly dressed which made for a different flavor than I'm generally used to.... More

This place is small (seating inside for about 10 people - one waitress and a cook) that serves fresh authentic Mexican food. It has a sunny, Caribbean beach shack kind of decor. When you walk in there is an open kitchen and a takeout order counter. You used order food there and then she would bring it to you, but... More

We stopped here because my husband was hungry -- I wasn't, really, so I thought "oh, I'll just get a couple of tacos." I got two, but they were stuffed full enough for four (and came with two extra tortillas, so they must've planned that). I usually don't like soft corn tortillas (authentic as they are to the taco experience),... More

Dinner on a Friday night. We're able to get right in. Service was excellent - pleasant, prompt, orders correct. Food was average, carnitas Bahia bowl had good carnitas (though small portion) but remainder of lettuce/cabbage/beans/etc was just average. Carnitas burrito was very large and got a good review from my son. Price was good, about $10 per person.

We have enjoyed meals here in the past. We almost went to their "sister restaurant" next door, but decided to eat here. Am disappointed we made this choice. The waitress was great. She said "Would you like some chips and salsa?" The 8 chips were large on the top and underneath they were "little bits". They did not taste very... More

I got the grilled vegie taco and it was excellent. My daughter loves the grilled shrimp taco. Salsa are great they have several of them. However, it is their black bean puree that makes this place stand out!

First off, we ate dinner at the Seaside location. We did not order from the lunch/take out menu. This was a sitdown dinner with wine. The photo they show here is from the Monterey location, not from the Seaside location. We loved the food here so much we went two nights in the row. Amazing seafood. The calamari steak is... More

I love their fish tacos and Baja chicken wraps. There are two locations..one in Monterey near the Sports Center and the other on Fremont in Seaside.Sometimes their menus vary from place to place. Either place is good.

Not that great but not terrible either. I ordered take-out one afternoon. the place was empty, but I still waited a bit for the person at the counter to address me. There was another person there who just ignored me. I don't think I'll go back now that I've found Michael's Taqueria in PG. But I was new to the... More
