Amazing experience!

My husband and I live in Marina, CA, (7 miles north of Monterey) and we have friends who are a couple who were coming to town for the AT&T golf tournament. I knew with the golf going on, Valentine's Day on Saturday, and President's Day on Monday that we should choose a restaurant early on and make... read more

What was once a twice monthly stop has been sadly disappointing over the past few years and just over the last 6 months we'd sworn off it. Giving it one last chance was a mistake. Poorly prepared food (fish should not smell and taste fishy, even on a Sunday), jacked up prices, poor cleaning (just check out the vents in... More

Interesting Caribbean and Central American dishes with seafood as central item. Creative and fun, good value.

Had a wonderful meal in this tucked away place in Seaside. I know pasta is not what you would typically go to a seafood restaurant for, but I would recommend you do so if you visit here. The pasta is locally made and fresh. I had the red sauce with the seafood combo of shrimp, scallops and crab meat added... More

I had eaten at the Fishwife in Pacific Grove, but this was my first time at the Seaside location. What a great wait staff - friendly, accommodating and attentive. As usual, the food was excellent. The ciopino was awesome.

It's a bit off to the side, but the service is friendly and the food is good. I had a Sand Dab Caesar that was custom built and it was excellent. I have found the kitchen very accommodating but a bit slow.

Before meeting up with an out of town friend, I wanted to get her favorite bottle of jabanero sauce. Knowing the trip to Fishwife would add an hour to my drive, I called first to verify they had the sauce in stock. "Oh, yes" the staff member told me on the phone. But upon arrival she told me she actually... More

Small hole in the wall with outstanding menu. I heard the bus driver talking about this place to some newcomers and I wanted to check it out. Small cozy menu with a selection of wild and farmed fish. The server not hot looking but with an outstanding service, similar what you find in a famous steakhouse. The salad with fresh... More

There are 2 or 3 Fishwife locations , picked this one because it was closest to hotel. Food is the same ( very tasty ) but for me the location in Pacific Grove is much better primarily the atmosphere and full bar. Baja Bowl is my favorite, shrimp, scallops, crab in a bowl of rice, black beans and veggies with... More
