My husband and I went for dinner in mid February. My husband had the calamari steak and I had the grilled prawn salad. The food was delicious and for dessert we split a piece of the Chocolate Volcano. YUM!!

I went in with high expectationa based on the recommendations of the group I was with. Great views if you can get a table with a west facing view. Seered ahi tuna was ordinary, no seasoning. Crab ravioli was dominanted by the sauce, you could not taste the crab.

Incredible. Local hole in the wall location with an amazing atmosphere and menu selection. Definitely coming back again and again.

we tried a couple of restaurants in seaside on our very recent trip to monterey. the fishwife, by far, was the stand-out! hubby had fried shrimp - there were 7 of them on his plate. the brocolli had a very different and very wonderful dressing on it. and he who doesn't care for 'new' flavors, enjoyed it tremendously. i had... I think there are two Fish Wife locations in the area. We ate in the one in Seaside. The food was very good, the service was excellent and home like. Seems like a locals hangout more than a tourist location.

We ate here, appetizer to dessert. It was excellent! We thought ourselves fortunate to find the place. Basically, we went with our eyes. The place was full and folks were also waiting for food to go. I wiped my plate clean with my bread. Only downside was that the vanilla ice cream was rock hard. Probably would have been fine... More

We've been to Fishwife several times and I like getting local fish such as Monterey Sand Dabs. We had the fish and chips for lunch and days it was very good although a bit greaser than we want to see for F&C's. The restaurant is small and often crowded but there is outdoor seating even if the view is of... More

We wanted to take advantage of our first time in Monterey so we were looking for a great hole in the wall local seafood joint. This place was perfect! The small cafe style restaurant with open kitchen and friendly faced cooks and staff was exactly what we were lookin for and man, we were not disappointed! The food was amazing!... More

Came here on a whim. I enjoy small hole-in-the-wall places. This one did not dissapoint. Good portions, good service. I'd come back over and over.
