Great little place in Seal Beach. Best BBQ I had ever had and I am from Kentucky! The cornbread is sooo good and the coleslaw was tasty as well. My fiance got one of the coffee flavored beers and we both agreed that it was the best beer we had ever tasted!

With a BBQ resume that includes living/visiting Texas, N Carolina, Kansas City, Upstate NY, Florida, and others, I was a bit leery of Southern California as a source for outstanding BBQ. I ended up impressed, full, amazed, and very satisfied. We arrived at the small storefront restaurant to a small wait (25 min estimate) which was accurate. Up front, notice... More

I had the BBQ Beef spare rib and it was really overcooked and dry. I also tried my wife's smoked ham and neither of us really liked it much - it as also dry and overcooked. The sauces were really good and so were all of the sides we ordered: Baked Beans, Yams, creamed spinach and Cornbread.

We were at Seal Beach and expected great craft beers, but fabulous BBQ and the best grits I ever had in Southern California? ??? Yes, it is true! The shrimp and grits are creamy and tasty but the blue cheese grits were fabulous!! They were sides, but I could have consumed two of them. I is true that the surprisingly... More

What more do you need than a great selection of craft beers and some great BBQ. I like the variety of sauces they have for the BBQ too. They also have a number of inventive takes on classic Southern roadhouse faves. Small place, cramp place. You will have a wait at busy times.

Seal Beach is the hidden gem of Orange County and Beachwood is one of my favorite restaurants when visiting. Tasty food, good service and a reasonable price.

Barbecued food that doesn't need the sauce, though an assortment of sauces are available on the table. Wait staff were very welcoming. Good time and great food.

Wow! This place was super yummy....love, love, loved the smoked chicken! Service was great too... Will definitely come back. Another nice feature of this place besides the fab food is the unique craft beers!

The best fried pickles I have ever had. Worth the wait for a table or a seat at the bar. Usually packed every night of the week.

I am not much of a beer drinker and I have a healthy (?) aversion to fatty meats... but I still find plenty to love at Beachwood BBQ. The wine selection is limited but interesting and reasonably priced, and the quality glassware makes the most of the wine offerings. The house smoked albacore, served rare, is delicate, tender, and delicious,... More
