Get away from the tourists and the crowds, go where the locals go. Great food casual atmosphere, excellent service. Take your time because you wont wont to leave. I recommend you go on a warm sunny day, when its not too windy, sit outside.

The locals favorite place. Food is good, great friendly service, wonderful ambiance, specially on a warm summer evening!

The location on the beach could not be better, but I've never understood why the food and service has never been improved. To me the place could be a goldmine, and why the need to pay for parking.

If you love the beach and you want to eat right on the edge of the sand, this is a good place. The restaurant sits on the sand next to the San Gabriel River where it empties into the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful place to sit and relax and have a meal and a drink, look out at the ocean, and... More

If you enjoy the sea breeze and good food, I highly recommend Rivers End. It is right on the beach and has good food, good service and a great view. If you get there when they open, you can get a table on the deck and enjoy the view even more. Beware though, it can get breezy and cold. They... More

The food was okay, but the problem is the service. It was if it was in slow motion. Now, honestly, I'm not a task master, and I'm as easy going as they come, but the staff had not one shred of hustle in their bustle what so ever. Just even getting seated seem like a feat in it's self. They... More

They did tell us we would have to wait and we did. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table and then it was about another 30 - 45 minutes before our food arrived which was just ok. If it had been worth the wait I wouldn't have minded but sadly it was disappointing. The location is great just... More

What a great place to have a relaxing lunch at the beach. Great breeze, beautiful sunshine. For someone from the Midwest eating lunch on the beach with all of the pelicans flying by was definitely a treat. The food was good, definitely better than average. We had a mixture of breakfast and lunch, meats and fish. Service was not bad... More

My wife and I enjoy reading the San Gabriel River Trail to Seal Beach. When we do, we stop in here. Very casual and laid back. A sign warns you to chill as you will need to wait as others have before. Very pleasant on the beach and the food is pretty good. The pastrami sandwich is especially good. Careful... More
