The food was okay, but the problem is the service. It was if it was in slow motion. Now, honestly, I'm not a task master, and I'm as easy going as they come, but the staff had not one shred of hustle in their bustle what so ever. Just even getting seated seem like a feat in it's self. They... More

They did tell us we would have to wait and we did. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table and then it was about another 30 - 45 minutes before our food arrived which was just ok. If it had been worth the wait I wouldn't have minded but sadly it was disappointing. The location is great just... More

What a great place to have a relaxing lunch at the beach. Great breeze, beautiful sunshine. For someone from the Midwest eating lunch on the beach with all of the pelicans flying by was definitely a treat. The food was good, definitely better than average. We had a mixture of breakfast and lunch, meats and fish. Service was not bad... More

My wife and I enjoy reading the San Gabriel River Trail to Seal Beach. When we do, we stop in here. Very casual and laid back. A sign warns you to chill as you will need to wait as others have before. Very pleasant on the beach and the food is pretty good. The pastrami sandwich is especially good. Careful... More

Went for dinner on a hot muggy California night great view of the ocean and the San Gabriel River and best of all the food was great staff helpful! What a great find. Can't wait to go back for breakfast and try their omelettes.

The Cafe is not easy to find but worth the search. It is on the beach with shade from overhangs and umbrella tables. It is handicap accessable. There are many locals and bicyclists frequenting this location. Make sure you have sunglasses, sunscreen and a jacket if you are going to linger over the relaxing feel to this restaurant. They will... More

Sitting almost on the sand, enjoying the view of the ocean, riverbed and all the people coming and going from the beach, you can't beat it. The food is fantastic and the staff very friendly. A bit of a wait if you don't get there early and sometimes I have trouble getting refills on my coffee, but that's the worst... More

Let's start off by stating this is not a great restaurant. However, it is good and it is consistent. But more importantly, it is on the beach, next to the river, with the surf in view. They do a nice job on breakfast and lunch (never had dinner there). The Mexican themed dishes have never disappointed, and the salads are... More

Took my husband here for his birthday. It's right on the sand and just feet from the the water. The menu is very tasted and reasonably priced. There's patio seating as well as indoors. It's not fancy, very beachy and sometimes crowded. The only downside is the bathrooms are public. The restaurant doesn't have its own. Not too bad, but... More

We didn't expect much when we saw the café. It looked just like a chack but boy was that a great place. Right on the beach with wonderful views of the river and ocean as well as a lot of sand. I had fish and chips and the fish was my absolute favorite, halibut. Everything was so good. Sitting in... More
