I went there on Monday night and happened to have a comedy night. Every act was filled with racially charged jokes that were downright ignorant. "Jokes" about all white people are racist and slaveowners and disparaging remarks about Asian Americans (because they don't throw a fit when people say things about them) gets old after a while. I frequent Hennessey's on a fairly regular basis. Some days it is just for a drink after work, dinner, or another meal. The prices are pretty average for the area. The food is pretty good. I especially like the Gaelic Pepper Steak. The sauce is wonderful. But for a fun night out, I would recommend going to the comedy night... more

It is very casual and located where all the action is in Seal Beach on Main street. It is for a casual dining experience and food is fair not great. You can get a very good cheeseburger on Tuesday at a two for one price special of about $ 6-$8.00. This is for two people plus drinks and any sides... more
