Often bustling at this Seal Beach PCH sushi spot - great food but untrained bartenders

Housed in the old Glider'er Inn (yes, Seal Beach airport used to be directly across the street years ago.. many years...), this neighbourhood hotspot is popular with locals and PCH cruisers alike. Also an occasional fave restaurant for SB's local celeb, the sushi here always delivers, yet sadly... read more

We went for happy hour on a Monday evening. The bar area has no windows, so it is rather dark, thus you feel rather enclosed. We had several apps from the happy hour menu, but they weren't very memorable. The chicken skewers were rubbery. On the flip side...the bartender made a great martini with infused pineapple !!

For 10 years we dined here at Mahe. The sushi is one of the best we have ever had. The owners are always gracious and even though we now live in Arizona, we still love this place. It is a must if you are in the area.

We heard about this place from a local friend and man, it was outstanding! All you can eat sushi is from 5-6 at the sushi bar only! Get the scallops, yellowtail and salmon! So good!!! Best sushi I have ever had!

So,if I were to go here again, it would not be on a Saturday night, unless I wanted to hang out in a bar. Unfortunately, that's what it felt like, like we had taken a large family group with young kids to a loud bar on a Saturday night. We could barely hear each other over the band and noise.... More

We treated a young couple to a meal at Mahe and were simply delighted with the entire experience. We did make reservations, which is strongly recommended. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and all agree it was the best we've ever had. Entrees ordered were ahi, scallops, swordfish, and sushi and all were evaluated as excellent. Service was superb. I... More

My company had a business dinner at Mahe and I cannot rave enough about the superior service received. The Manager introduced himself and made sure the evening went off without a hitch. In the bar, They offer a killer happy hour, the server was attentive, and the drink selection was extensive. When we went into the back room for dinner,... More
