Great service, good fish

Went for a late lunch with a colleague, who loves fish. Had some tasty oak grilled mahi mahi and an aji sandwich, with a decent bottle of American albariño. We were both happy. The restaurant and bar were both full, and it was noticeable that people were happy with their food and drinks.

Been here many times. They don't take reservations or we would go more often. Usually pretty crowded but the food is good, and consistently so.

Started going here in the 60's. Wonderful fish, taco's, side orders, great wines (Babcock, especially). A good family place to meet. Get there early. Lines start around 7 for tables.

I've only been to the restaurant one time, and it was on Valentine's Day. The service was exceptional, although a bit rushed probably due to the fact that it was Valentine's Day. I had an outstanding seafood meal and was in heaven.

As a local resident I have been eating at Walt's several times a year for over 20 years. The fish and seafood is fresh, and most of it is grilled over oak. Other standouts include grilled artichoke, the Seal Beach Caesar (includes shell pasta and smoked albacore, and is usually available even if not shown on the menu), and the... More

We are here while in town and had a great experience. Started with the steamed clams which were heavenly. A full pound of clams in white wine butter broth. Yum! The two entrees were the carmelized salmon ( house specialty ) and the grilled seafood platter. Our server said the platter was ' lighter fare'.. it was huge and included... More

Two storied restaurant and completely full on weeknight in February! On arrival we were able to get a table without a reservation which was very lucky. The waiter immediately filled us in on what are the house specialities. He suggested the carmalized salmon on mashed potatoes with asparagus and the smoked artichoke appetizer. Both were excellent! My husband tried the... More

Great seafood selection. Friendly wait staff. Bathroom access not disability compliant, for those to whom it matters.

The Caramelized Wild King Salmon served over mashed potatoes with aspargus for @31.25 was delicious. My wife loves there Cioppino for $27.25. Others in our party liked the Albacore Tuna served rare. Very good service. No corkage fee if you bring wine from the family owned Babcock Winery in the Santa Rita Hills - Lompoc. The restaurant is in walking... More

our waiter told us they were known for their smoker, so we had the smoked fish appetizer - a definite must have - and it a large portion for just 2, great to share with more. The other dish not to miss is the Blackened Catfish, never have I had catfish treated so regally every bite was a treat for... More
