Fish you want, Walt's got it!!!!!!!!!!

food is great, service great, but what I like is the diversity in ages of customers, not a young people's place not an old folks place, a mixture all treated to great food and service equal to all

I highly recommend the trout and Walt's salad. And there are gluten free options. After dinner, take a stroll around downtown Seal Beach, the cutest beach town in Southern California.

Although no longer living in the beach area, whenever we visit we make it a point to eat at Walt's. The fish is fresh and perfectly prepared. The bread is warm and wonderful. The service is always friendly and attentive. After lunch or dinner, take a walk down Main Street to the pier. Great little town with a terrific seafood... More

This is still a terrific spot-reliably delicious, fresh food and terrific service. Good choice for seafood-salads, grilled, appetizers. Get the grilled artichoke to start.

This restaurant's decor feels like a throwback to the 70s or 80s, especially if you are seated upstairs. Raw oysters were very fresh, plump and tasty. The only disappointment was the Clam Chowder, it wasn't bad, it wasn't great...just ok. There is a large selection of seafood and it is fresh and arrives perfectly cooked. The service was excellent, friendly... More

Hi, My first job! Bussed tables at the age of 15, Walt actually owned it then. sold it and went on to his wine making business. Everything was served on paper plates back then. The best mesquite charbroiled seafood I have ever had as posted by other reviewers Who have traveled the world. Definitely worth your time!

I've had seafood all over the world and this was by far the best. Worth the wait. My humble opinion, but try it and I'm sure you'll agree. Five stars for sure!

A shorter wait than expected to be seated, we waited in the bar with a glass of wine. We forgot tell them we needed to be seated due to a fractured foot. Maybe that was the problem? They seated us at a table and promptly filled up every other table in the section. Our waitress was overwhelmed. We had to... More

Walt's is pretty famous for having some of the best seafood in the area. I like to come here when I have a hankering for "traditionally-cooked traditional fishes" rather than, say, sushi (KOI) or crab legs (The Crab Pot). For instance, their Blackened Louisiana Catfish is to die for--you won't find catfish at a sushi restaurant. And Walt's doesn't really... More

Have been going to Walts for many years but hadn't been there for dinner lately. Not as good as in previous years. Signature artichoke was a tad mushy, black bean soup not as tasty. Friends that had halibut thought it was not as firm in texture as should be. Service was good and it was nice that they take reservations.
