Great local cafe

They have a great vegetarian breakfast wrap! Great lentil soup! Actually the food is excellent and quality is consistent. Mainly go there for breakfast or lunch, but know they do a nice job on dinner too. The service is very good and everyone is very friendly.

We have been going to Cafe Lafayette since it opened under it's new owner Tim. Ha has always gone out of his welcome to welcome us and our guests. The food inconsistently delicious especially the Mustard Chicken and the Sea Bass. Tim continues to expand the wine list and adds entertaining features to make Cafe Lafayette an even more enticing... Had a very nice meal there, good place to take a date. Enjoyed the relaxed yet a bit upscale atmosphere for a beach town eatery.

Visiting Seal Beach for a few days, we had tried many excellent styles of cuisine, but we had to confront American food. A friend said I might find a good burger here so we arrived at lunchtime to find it mainly populated by senior ladies. I had spotted Kobe beef burger on the menu, and disbelieving decided to give it... More

We went with a very small group for a birthday dinner. The Eiffel Tower makes you think it may be French but the name says Cajun? However our meals were all really tasty and yes they did have French and Cajun choices including American. Enough choices to please everyone. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. Dessert was delicious and the... More

I had the wonderful pleasure of having breakfast this morning at this enchanting family owned restaurant! I love Corned Beef Hash and theirs was particularly delicious... Large fresh slices of corned beef with lots of perfectly grilled potatoes that were all cooked and a little crispy on the outside with plenty of peppers and onions. Remembering it now my mouth... Great service and nice wine list. Lemon chicken soup was awesome and arugula mozzarella salad very good. Pork chop was amazing as well as the calamari steak. Do not get the chicken cordon bleu. Sauce was really off and coating was burnt. Nice time with friends and dinner was relaxing and not rushed by staff.

Excellent food with matching service and very reasonably priced. Additionally, it is quiet, unlike most restaurants these days, so a great place to go with friends if you want to chat or to unwind after a stressful day. New owner, Tim, has done a remarkable job with this venue. I tried the chicken moutarde, this time, and would highly recommend... More

Joy was our waitress and she certainly is a joy. I ordered the Eggs Sardou with Spinach on the side. If you like Spinach this dish is a must. Their Spinach has sautéed Onions in it and it is simply the best Spinach around. We tried the Blueberry Pancake and it is ok. My husband had the Brioch French Toast... More
