The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. Great dinner with superb view

The view from our table was superb. The bay opened up with great weather, boats sailing. What a great start. We had a superb waiter, ver attentive, but not intrusive. One of us had the ciopanno, seafood stew in tomato broth. Very tasty and well done. Two of us had their crab salad dish. With the... read more

The restaurant is beautiful and the view was amazing. The food was average. I had the crab cakes and a side salad. The crab was so finely chopped it was almost dry. Our service was not great. I think our waitress was trying to keep up but she needed help. I hope that isn't the norm.

The food is what would expect at a tourist location, however it has the best view ever. So don't expect much more than average food with a way above average setting.

We stopped here for drinks and appetizer while walking through Sausalito. Breath-taking views of the bay and AWESOME fresh dungeness crab cocktail. Friendly bartender and nice overall atmosphere.

We were a group of 9 people in biking outfits stopping for lunch. We were met with a warm welcome and hence there pretty booked at the wonderfull terrace, they first set us up inside, but then made room outside and we enjoyed good weather and a splandid view to the Bay. We had several different sea food starters, oysters,shrimps,... More

The latest iteration of this classic Sausalito dining establishment is the best it has ever been. I have been eating at the Trident since the early 70's. It was the place to go for the scenery inside and outside the restaurant. One of the first places to serve sushi outside of Japan town and reportedly the place where the tequila... More

Good food & fantastic wine selection. Grab a cab round or get the Ferry. We ended up getting the ferry back just as the sun was setting and it was stunning

Took the ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito for the day. Was recommended to try Trident from a local who owned a shop town. Sat outside on the patio and the views were gorgeous! We each ordered a cocktail and all four of us were so disappointed! We all agreed they were the worse cocktails we ever had! Lunch was... More

Sits right on the water with lots of great views. Inside it is spacious and you are not sitting on top of other diners. The decor is nice with wood and glass. Service was excellent and the food was good. Also reasonably priced and nice variety.

We went to Sausalito on a hop-on-hop-off bus tour and were looking for a restaurant with a view of the water. This did not disappoint. They do have inside seating in a wooded, crozy room but we loved eating on the outside deck overlooking the Bay. We had to wait in the bar for 5 min for outside seating, although... More
