The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. Surprising good food

On cool day, they were thoughtful enough to lock the back door so that no one would enter from the deck. Good food, great wait staff, and moderate pricing combined to make this hidden gem a surprising find. Be warned about the bloody Mary's, as they come regular or spicy, and the spicy ones will... read more

My nephew took us here for lunch. We sat outside on the deck with a view of San Fran. Our food was delicious! I had clam chowder whichI loved and dungeness crab cakes. The crab cakes were nothing but solid crab with a golden coating on the outside. It was soooo good! My husband had clam chowder and agreed it... More

This is a warm and comfortable restaurant. The staff was very friendly and professional but the food was only so-so. It was good but not outstanding.

The view from the outdoor patio is great, leading to a very enjoyable experience. The food is hit or miss. My wife and I shared a lobster escargot which was great. My main was mussels which were pretty good and my wife's crab Louie salad was not good. Dessert was fine. Service was understated but fine for the place.

Sausalito is a charming bayside city which is scenic and attractive to locals and tourists alike. Trident is a waterfront restaurant with outstanding views of San Francisco and the Bay. It was our first stop after leaving SFO airport on our way to a week in the Wine Country. Michael was a great server and was attentive and helped with... More

I am comparing the Trident to its next door neighbor restaurant Scoma's. The Trident is a more beautiful restaurant than Scoma's. It also has a large patio on the water where as Scoma's only has 2 tables on their small patio. While my food was good and the menu is nicely varied I thought the food at Scoma's was much... More

This restaurant offers fantastic food at a very reasonable price with an amazing view if you sit outside. It can take a little while to get a table on the deck but it's worth the wait, sit at the bar with a glass of wine and peruse the menu while you wait. The calamari and crab cakes are excellent as... Great location right on the water. The food was great and had fun cocktails. Unfortunately we had a reservation and they were unprepared for us. We sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone even came to see us. Overpriced food but you pay for the view.

Wife and I were in Sausilito lunch and our hotel suggested Trident. The wife has never been to San Fran so it was perfect for the view. It has an outside dining area that is great on a sunny day but bundle up. I guess I should preface this by saying when on an ocean city, I expect the best... More
