Description: The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. I went to the restaurant whilst visiting san fran back in November. The place is situation in a very nice and affluent area in Sausalito with stunning view of San Francisco Bay. We order two fish and chips and enjoyed the views. The staff were not very friendly nor attentive. I was looking to order a drink whilst eating my... More

We stopped in Trident for a late night drink and snack before walking on to our hotel. We ordered a cocktail each and the clam chowder. The server seems less than willing to help since we aren't ordering a full dinner. She was outright rude and would walk by our table over and over without asking if we needed anything.... More

A friend and I stopped in here after touring Sausalito. It was fairly empty to the point where staff members were just sitting down at the tables polishing cutlery. Even though it was empty it still took a long time for a staff member to come and take our order which we thought was a bit ridiculous. We were not... More

Arrived at 3:30 pm on a Monday--lots of empty tables and lots of service staff. After 10 minute wait we stopped a server and asked if we might order. She found our server, who had passed our table a number of times. No apology for the wait--not a good start. We ordered off the sandwich menu because we were dining... More

Went with a friend for lunch. As it was busy we sat outside. The views were great and not unbearably cold with patio heaters. Had the dungeness crab and a friend a chicken sandwich, 4 cocktails.. Not the cheapest but enjoyed it. Friendly service who helped me work out how to crack the crab!

First step, go to the Trident restaurant. There is no parking on the street usually, the town is very small and getting there is an adventure in itself. After cruising up and down twice, I finally chose to ask about what looked like Valet parking. The girl who walked up asked me why I was there. I told her I... More

I spent a lot of time researching restaurants for a nice lunch on the way home from The City to Sonoma County. I made a reservation and we arrived on time to find that we would be charged $6/for parking. Oh. We were shown to a table outside on the patio. On a warm day this would have been OK,... More

On the way to sightseeing Golden Gate Bridge we came by to visit Sansaulito, a nice city on the coast. We pass by the Trident and decide to come for lunch on Christmas Eve. The restaurant is on water with platform protected by pillars. The view is fantastic with the bridge and the bay area. The seafood dishes are tasty,... More
