Description: The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. Our daughter takes us to the Trident when we're in town. We like the great view of the bay and the City. The food here today was very good; however, the service was very slow and we waited for a long time for our order. We had to ask if we'd been forgotten. We still will be back since this... More

Too often, restaurants that have great view, therefore are tourist attractions, don't have great food. The Trident had delicious fish tacos. Grilled, and very nicely grilled. The fish and chips were fine if one likes beer battered fish. I tend not to so my opinion of them being only okay probably isn't fair. Our waitress was great - fun to... More

After visiting Muir Woods my wife and I decided to check out Sausalito. At one end of what might be called tourist row was the Trident. We stopped in for lunch. We were seated quickly near a window with a great view of the San Francisco skyline and Alcatraz. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the bay was full... More

Seafood and Italian are their specialty. We often have the lobster which is always fresh and very large. The portions are large, and the desserts are wonderful. Nothing bad on the menu. And the views are spectacular.

We only wanted a light lunch in a pleasant place; regrettably, the food was a disappointment, but, as my wife acknowledged, "It was a nice place to sit." I had a kale and quinoa salad, but it was completely overwhelmed by way too much feta. They should have doubled the proportions of kale and quinoa and at least halved the... More

Food was good. Hostess - very accommodating. Bartender - Perfect. View - beautiful. Service, well let's see ... 1. 20 minutes before anyone recognized we were seated 2. No bread on the table - that I read about how great it was ( really not so great ) 3. Ordered spinach - no spinach brought to the table ( on... More

Had a lovely meal here after a long bike ride. The calamari was delicious and I had the seafood linguine for mains which was devine! I will definitely return in the future.

My wife and I made reservations to dine at Trident on the final night of our Sausalito vacation. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be immediately seated. For the next half an hour we were completely ignored by staff. We were never even offered water. After being ignored by everyone except the lounge singer... More
