Description: The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. A friend suggested trying this restaurant because of the great food and even better views of San Francisco from he restaurant. It is about 2 blocks from the ferry stop, so if you do not have a car and are staying in San Francisco, it is still possible to eat here (just make sure that you have an early reservation... More

We sat on the deck under heaters and had a gorgeous view of the bay at sunset. The food was very good. Unfortunately it was excruciatingly slow. The service was good, not great.

Alice our server salvaged a 2* review with her attentiveness and understanding. One of those meals that keeps going downhill. Nice view from the deck, no silver on the table, original server "I will be back in a minute" still had not reappeared when the delightful Alice noticed our abandonment. Drinks arrived and starter very pronto afterwards, not bad mussels... More

We rented bikes fro Blazing Saddles in SF and they recommended the place and gave us a coupon so we decided to give it a try. When we got there, there was a very rude man in the "bicycles valet" who told us that if we didn't validate our "parking" he would charge us $2 per bike, when there wasn't... More

Were pleasantly surprise. The place screamed tourist trap but the food and service were both good. The prices were slightly inflated but to be expected given the location. Amazing view.

Took a day trip to Sausalito, whilst staying in SF, and saw this restaurant from the ferry coming in. It had a great terrace and looked fun. However, when we asked for a table on the terrace we were offered their 'skydeck' (or a similar name). We made an error, here. The terace we saw coming in was noisy and... More

Me and my mother both travelled to San Francisco in March earlier this year, and decided to get the ferry over to Sausalito one day for lunch. We shopped around a little bit, and had many options for lunch, however we chose trident, which was the right choice! I had a Caeser Salad with chicken, and my mum had a... More

Visited this restaurant a while ago as horizons. It was much better then I hate to say. The staff were very friendly. The food was average but the amount of food served for the price paid was at best poor value. Something's got to give. I wouldn't rush back

We were lucky enough to have a spectacular day on San Francisco bay and very lucky to score a waterside outdoor table at Trident. The menu was full of delicious offering from burgers to all sorts of seafood. At our table the fish tacos were most popular and consensus was super delish. Also had a grilled artichoke - a bit... They make a mean Burger at the TRIDENT! The paring is over the top, so park on the street. You can't beat the view! As long as your not valet park, hang out and enjoy the view and the great appetizers!
