The Trident, formerly 'Horizons", is now open!! We recently completed our remodel and upstairs Skydeck addition showcasing the most amazing views! In January 1981, this beautiful space was revived into Horizons restaurant. Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. Went here with a friend while visiting the bay area. We went here for dinner one evening. Parked at the restaurant which had one price posted (I don't remember the price now as this was months ago). Had dinner and went for a walk around the area near the restaurant. Coming back to the car, we were charged over double... More

The best thing about this restaurant is its service, I can't priase it enough. From the moment you enter, you are politely greeted and promptly ushered to your table. The food is also good, particularly Fish n Chips as well as Steak. The prices are a bit high, but worth for the service and ambience

We met some friends for lunch here. We had a great window seat. Could have eaten outside, but I forgot the sunscreen!! Our server was very attentive. Being a crab lover, I had the Crab Louie. I would have liked a little more crab on it, but it was flavorful. Everyone at the table seemed to be pleased with their... More

We lucked out with the weather and got to sit on the deck in February. It was beautiful. The seating is a bit tight but the view and the atmosphere are terrific. Crab salad and fish tacos were great. Service was good and attentive. Two thumbs up!

We stopped in here early one evening on the way back from wine country. The Sun was just setting over San Francisco Bay lighting up Alcatraz and San Francisco in a beautiful hue of oranges and yellows. That was the high point of this restaurant experience. The service was good, but the food was lackluster. We both had seafood and... More

The view of the bay is great but the food was really not very good. 1 star for food and 5 star for the view.

During our annual trip to Northern California, we usually find ourselves returning to SF from wine country in the late afternoon. We always stop at the Trident on the way back into SF. We get a spot on the deck, where we share a couple small plates and each have a glass of wine. The view is so lovely, and... More

Walking into the Trident restaurant was like walking into a late 1960s time warp, with lots of dark wood and a psychedelic painted ceiling! Along with the wonderful view of San Fransisco bay and the SF skyline, it was picture perfect. This restaurant has a lot of history, with the likes of Robin Williams, who had worked as a 'buss... I went to the restaurant whilst visiting san fran back in November. The place is situation in a very nice and affluent area in Sausalito with stunning view of San Francisco Bay. We order two fish and chips and enjoyed the views. The staff were not very friendly nor attentive. I was looking to order a drink whilst eating my... More
