Fantastic view - food is very good

Go there for the view of San Francisco. They have a nice wine selection and good food. I had the scallops with garlic and shiitake mushrooms. Fresh and tasty. A bit pricey and the place could use some decoration - it's very 90 style. Actually it's not cosy - it's more like dining hall. A shame..

With their views, they could afford not to bother about good food... they do: it is well served, quickly and tasty

Took Dad for dinner and he had a wonderful time! The clientele seems older and somewhat touristy. The seafood is delicious and an amiable staff.

We have been coming to the Spinnaker for about 20 years, typically for special events-birthdays, anniversaries, out of town visitors. We've enjoyed it which Is why this is a difficult review to write. Tonight four of us, including my 90-year-old mother, had a 730 reservation to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at 7:20 and weren't seated until 7:55. We had... More

As others have raved about, the view is worth the cost of admission. I last went to The Spinnaker about 25 years ago, and it is much like I remember it, but a little more "tired". I'm not sure if much has been updated in those 25 years. Fun to watch flocks of huge pelicans flying off the roof -... More

The dining room has floor to ceiling windows on three sides so views are everywhere. We asked for a table facing SF and really enjoyed looking at the skyline and watching the harbor seals and pelicans. Our friends were staying in the city and they really enjoyed getting another perspective of where they were staying. It's just a few minutes... More

Will in Sausalito we enjoyed a wonderful old style Italian dinner at the Spinaker. We had a ice table with a view of the bay , just what you want when on an anniversary! A very nice and attentive waiter and busy boy! Cocktails were good (Manhattan pictured and a pins colada blend lately hard to find). We ordered the... More

Excellent food, excellent view, excellent service, a bit on the pricey side but you have to remember where you are.

We were two couples and we all ordered either New England or Manhattan Chowder; then salad and a seafood main course. Both types of chowder were quite good and enjoyable. Everything after was a disaster. My advice - go there for the chowder and the view, but don't consider this a serious seafood restaurant.

Family party of 12 on a Saturday night with reservations. Enjoyed a wonderful meal. Just wish everyone could see the SF skyline but not possible. There are glass windows all around the dining room with indirect lighting so everyone has a good view. Clam chowder is some of the best we have had. Service is very good and attentive. Our... More
