Ask for Table #16

You come here for decent food and magnificent views back across the bay to San Francisco. The restaurant has two glass walls giving views to the West (Golden Gate Bridge) and the South (San Fran). In the corner where these two walls meet there is a table for four, Table #16. Ask for it in your... read more

I thought the server was attentive, the view was incredible, and the food was mediocre. I had their fish special -- which had crab and a sauce -- served with sliced vegetables, asparagus spears, and mashed potatoes. Potatoes and asparagus were good -- the rest mediocre.

Lovely restaurant with big windows for a stunning view of Sausalito and the bay area. Good seafood (we had oysters to start and the special for our main, very tasty).

We booked ahead of time to get a great table overlooking the bay and were pleased to be given.a 4 seated table for the two of us, so we had plenty of space. We had a lovely leisurely brunch with tasty seafood and delicious deserts. Service was smooth and we never felt rushed. Perfect place to meet.

Had lunch today at the Spinnaker at a waterview table. Service was very good and the food was some of the best I've had in San Francisco. The prices were even reasonable! We both had the lunch special of clam chowder (not overly creamy - very tasty) and crab cakes. The side dishes were a mango salsa/chutney, remoulade sauce, and... More

We went back to the Spinnaker for dinner. If anything, the food is even better than it was before. Service topflight; views gorgeous. Good wine list. Spinnaker is well worth the ferry ride from San Francisco.

You said it -- you can't go wrong at table #16, or any of our tables with a view, really! Glad you had such a fantastic time and our creme caramel was such a highlight. I hope you'll come back and visit us again sometime -- there's plenty more to try! Best, Jeff - General Manager More

I have heard many folks rave about the early dinners. We arrived at 5:30PM and the restaurant was half full already. We had a great waiter who knew the menu, knew the wines and was willing to discuss the birds that were entertaining everyone that had a window table. My meal was the special fish of the day for 25.00,... More

It's wonderful to hear that we could impress you with both the presentation and quality of the seafood salad, the fish special, and the wine! I can't wait to see you back here for another early dinner sometime soon. Best, Jeff - General Manager More

The view is second to none and the breakfasts are particularly good -- especially the bacon. I've eaten here many times over the years and always enjoyed it.

My sister and I came for dinner. The view was amazing. The service was great. The food was okay. The decor was abysmal. I felt like I was stuck in the 1980's. I kept looking around for knight rider, Joe Polniacheck (from facts of life), and Debbie Gibson. They SO need an atmosphere up date.

Jeff S, Manager at The Spinnaker, responded to this review

I am a fan of Knightrider, but the decor was actually inspired by an old ship. I really do appreciate the feedback though, and I plan to speak with my staff about it. I'm excited that you had a great time though and that you loved the view! Hope to see you both back here again! Jeff - General Manager More
