We skipped "downtown" Sausalito and opted for a long walk to Fish. We built an appetite and it was definitely satisfied. I went with a bowl of the clam chowder and the crab roll (their version of a lobster roll, sub crab) Chowder was very hardy and delicious and the crab roll was perfect. Some may think it boring, but... More

Set on the water, the fish and other accompaniments provided here are certainly fresh. The crab sandwich (crab, bread) was okay, but lacked much in the way of seasoning or flavor. The fish and chips were good, but the batter was slightly undercooked, which detracted from the overall flavor. The bowl of red (Portuguese) chowder/soup was good, with more flavor... More

This place was briefly mentioned to me by a friend who lives locally. I can say I am glad I was listening. Fresh, local, and sustainably caught deliciousness. Try the white chowder and the crab roll- it's what they're famous for, and for a good reason at that!

We stopped here on our first day of a nine day trip to Northern California on our way out of San Francisco. It is cash only (just FYI)....the lunch was amazing. We had fresh fish on pasta with olive oil and garlic. It was really garlicky, and I was glad my husband and I had the same thing as we... More

Fish. is a great place to eat, located right on the harbor. On a sunny day, it is a great place to be. Prepare for long lines for lunch, though, and it is cash only. We have eaten here more than once, and we have found that the fish tacos are the weakest dish on the menu. They are not... More

Went by the excellent internet recommendations for this restaurant and we were disappointed. There were three of us and we all had fish and chips, there were way too many chips and the fish although good consisted of three very small pieces which for the price seemed very measly.

Very nice fish sandwiches restaurant in Sausalito. It's a 20 min walk from the ferry dock. Expect long queue for an outdoor table They do not accept credit/debit cards The salmon sandwich is worth the trip from San Francisco.

Recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. Friendly, helpful staff, very good food and really enjoyed the large amount of outdoor seating during a sunny, 72 degree day, how could we not! We knew we were at the right place by the line of locals, which moved quickly. I had one of the specials and it was excellent.... More

There's usually a line at this place, and it's easy to see why: the fish is just great -- fresh and wonderfully well prepared. They don't take reservations, but they're pretty efficient, and we've never had to wait long either of the times we've been there (you stand in line to order, then you find a table and they bring... The food we ordered was delicious. Fish and chips for me and halibut collar for him. Ate outside in the late afternoon in the sunshine but there is indoor seating also. You pay for drink refills which is no big deal to us. Finding parking was a little challenging, but we did find a good spot in just a few... More
