Beautiful and Delicious

This a beautiful place, nicely decorated with Christmas motifs. The food was really good and the service was ok. We tried the trout, the red snapper, and the pappardelle with chicken. The desserts were the best of the menu: the tiramisu and the panna cotta were amazing.

When we stay in Sausalito with family twice a year, we always make sure we take our granddaughters for breakfast a couple of times each week. It's a little tradition of ours. We love the outdoor seating, a great place to watch the world go by. The girls love the scrambled egg cheese and ham toastie and we like the... More

I remember my date saying it wasn't that bad to which I said, at the prices they charge they must be exceptionally good. They were NOT. Every food I've tried here even pizza has been so bland that I had to empty the salt and pepper shaker into it and still it was bad.

We ahve stayed in Sausilito several times over the years while on our way to other Bay Area destinations (Carmel, Napa or Sonoma). We always make time for a leisurely, high-quality dinner at Poggio. Pizza and pasta and wine slection are all great.

I ate here twice in one week on a recent trip to Sausalito. Particularly delicious are the grilled artichoke, a salad with pears and walnuts and a ravioli called gnudi. Service was attentive. I was a little put off by the less than welcoming greeting by the hostesses but perhaps they were having a bad day.

This afternoon my daughter and I stopped in at Poggio for a break from shopping. Welcoming, a little prosciutto plate, some Aperol. So impressed we reserved for dinner. Oops. Crowded, seated late. Not even given dining room chairs, rather bar chairs brought in. We waited for 20 minutes without so much as a "how do you do" before I asked... More

Selected randomly and a little more than I generally pay for lunch but I would go there again and again. There were interesting salads, rich, creamy mushroom soup and entrees that were extremely well prepared and delivered great flavors. The best meal we had in the Bay area.

Was here recently for the Tuesday night supper served family-style. The food was excellent, especially a few of the antipasti dishes and the cioppino-like seafood soup. The cocktails we had were very good as well, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was packed, and it seemed crazy for the waitstaff, but they were all on top of their game.... More

This restaurant has service flair and world class cuisine. Reservations are an absolute must – even during the week. However, despite its extensive footprint, the tables and booths are sort of crammed, with the result that conversations from one table overlap in all directions.

Visited the area from San Francisco and chose this restaurant by chance. Wonderful food and atmosphere, very bust with locals who were all enjoying the food and service. Would go back again if I am ever in the area.
