This restaurant is slightly round the corner in Sausalito, aways from the tourist crowds. The tacos are the best I've had since I've moved here. Crispy pork belly, perfect juicy carne asada, fresh mahi mahi and zingy chicken tinga. Fresh lemonade is great and the guacamole is a bowl of creamy deliciousness! This is definitely more expensive than other places... More

We got off our tour bus in Sausalito, and we were starving and only had about two hours to eat before the last tour bus back to San Francisco. We walked a litte bit and came across Copita. Very nice, menu outside stated prices and items. Walked in, were seated. My husband had the tinga tacos, very good. We had... More

From the second we walked into the beautifully decorated restaurant we felt at home. We were lucky to get a cozy booth in the back and receive excellent service from Manuel. The authentic, well - balanced and complex flavors of everything we ordered were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the Dungeness crab in a pomegranate, lime, mint and cilantro sauce and... More

We only chose this place because we were extremely hungry, and it was the first spot we saw when getting off of the tour bus. What a LUCKY find! The food was spectacular, and although it's not advertised very well, everything is gluten-free! You would never know by the the taste (as sometimes GF food isn't so great) but we... More

Mexican We went to this restaurant because it was listed as gluten free and my daughter has celiac disease. This fact should not detour anyone who is ok with gluten! As this was an outstanding Mexican resturant independent of gluten. As opposed to free chips when you sit down they bring a small bowl with large standing spears of cucumber... More

Dropped by here one afternoon with a coworker while in the area on business. We wanted to see Sausalito, and this was our first stop. We had a couple of drinks and some chips. The bartender was very friendly and provided us with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

We came across Copita out of chance on this first day of 2015, but were pleasantly surprised! Menu is small, apparently to ensure freshness, and the result is very good. Chips, tacos, cevice, everything was great. Service is very good as well!

My buddy and I took the ferry from SF on a Saturday recently. We were really excited to try Joann Weir's restaurant. It was chilly that day and I wished they would have closed the doors. I was cold. The chickens roasting smelled delightful! I decided to get the tacos and was disappointed. The onions overtook everything. On a scale... More

So , we had a reservation . We where there in time and were seated promptly...by the bathroom .....Door swinging constantly. It was really uncomfortable and loud. Our wait for drinks was a bit long, our waiter came and we ordered two double house margaritas . Guess what? $19 each, plus when shaken at the table our waiter threw out... More
