On a day trip to Sausalito we got slightly lost trying to find Le Garage but were very pleased by the service it provided. Arriving at around 2.30pm we avoided the lunch rush and chose a table in the relaxed outdoor area towards the edge of the bay. The salade Nicoise and tuna on ciabatta were very much enjoyed, as... found this joint while I was out on the paddle boards. there were so many people there and fun music that we were drawn to it. There was a little wait because we had a big group but we were able to get a mimosa and sit outside so it was not bad at all. It was great, i will... More

The thing about this place is that it is in Sausalito and so in there was the idea it was going to be good food. I mean, come on, we live in California with all these great vegetables and amazing chefs. NOPE. It was only ok. Thankfully the company was remarkable. The wine (Sancerre) was aright. The mission fig stuffed... More

Le Garage ended up being our dinner destination on one of our daytrips away from Sacramento. We timed it for a 500pm reservation, right at opening, on a busy Saturday. First, the food is impeccable, we tried beet salad and a mixed greens salad, squash blossoms, and halibut and leg of lamb for entrees. All the food was tasty, somewhat... More

this was a great surprise for me! its a very casual place, laid back as california is, but the food is very french and executed perfectly! we had a wonderful meal there and they have a very nice wine list too. if you are in sausalito, its worth the venture!

The pasta dish on the menu was bland, with literally no flavor. Bread was so burnt we couldn't bite it. Tarte Tatin also burnt. Our server forgot about us after he got busy, claiming, "You're outside, I cannot see you!" Great romantic atmosphere, however.

If you are looking for "the California experience"--this is it. The owners are French and the food and coffee are great. The lunch is perfect for meeting or lunch with friends. Dinners super romantic and fun. Along the water. Beautiful yachts. Does not get much better. The beach out front is perfect for a stroll. Love it!

Last night with some friends I met a chef who works at Le Garage and invited us to brunch. We had an amazing bacon quiche, probably the best quiche I have ever eaten in my life (and I live in France). We also had eggs benedict which was also great but less memorable than the quiche. The most amazing fresh... More

To start, the poorly dressed waiter wasted no time hitting on my girl friend. "look at what special escargot i found for you, wink". His service was as bad as his 80s jeans. The stuffed zuccini flowers were nice but thats where it ends. bad dry chicken, mediocre mussels a manager that tried to help but it was too late.... More

Really liked this restaurant. Off the tourist path, great food and atmosphere. The fried chick pea was interesting and something different.
