The food tastes great and the service is fast. They have wide selection at fair prices. The restaurant is just modular housing type construction, so it is not fancy.

I was spending the night in Valencia and noticed Saugus Café while returning to the hotel from dinner. It looked interesting – like a dinosaur from the past. Next morning I decided to give it a try for breakfast. From the outside this establishment looks like it’s been around for a long time, and that look conveys as you walk... More

Went here today with my girlfriend and daughter after a two-hour hike . Chose this place as I have a groupon .All of us ordered the Breakfast Platter - 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, with tomato and mushroom - it was delish ! The coffee was so good! Reminded of the coffee that they use to brew in... More

Everything about this place is authentic. I'd go just for the atmosphere alone, but as if that weren't enough, the joint also prepares some excellent dishes. There's always friendly service, and the prices are bad. Whenever I'm in the area, I make a pit stop at the Saugas Cafe.

We pass by it every single day & always want to try. Finally today. Outside looks a bit sketchy but inside like a normal diner. Inside is clean & welcoming. Food ok but big portion. People seem to be regulars. Glad we tried

I was here on a Sunday morning with a friend after a many year absence, pre-expansion. This was my first breakfast and I loved it. Over-easy eggs - perfect. Bacon - I have never had better. Potatoes - not a hint of that greasy taste I had last week at IHOP. And, the recommended sourdough toast - nicely toasted and... More

I came here with my dad back in the day and I bring my kids here to this day. A good hearty breakfast with old school decor. You can sit at the tables and watch the trains go by(my 3yr old loves trains) or sit up at the bar for a quick lunch and a good piece of pie. The... More

Have been coming here for years, my Dad ate here in the 50's when this was in the boonies! Very good French Toast with eggs, bacon, and sausage. Be prepared for a large portion!

This is one of the oldest diners in LA County. It's a classic diner in every sense. Big portions, available bar seating, open all the time. They have quite the extensive menu, but the best selections are breakfast. Chicken fried steak and eggs always pleases, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, pancakes and so on. Don't even bother with anything else... More

We saw the cafe on our way to another egg place in town. We love home town cages over chains. The pork chop breakfast was cooked just right and the home fries had great big chunks if onion as requested. Coffee was endless and you disnt have to wait for a refill. Fruit was fresh. We will be back.
