The Basin is The Best! Consistently great food, great cocktails, hip atmosphere. The owner, Andrew, is usually in attendance, serving as gracious host. Saratoga's best for many years.

We meet friends at The Basin. We enjoy the ambiance and what is offered on the menu. And sometimes we order mac and cheese, not on the menu but often available. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but always enjoyable. Reservations necessary. We like to be in the front room, and Andrew knows us now. Great service. We've gone with groups... More

The food was wonderful, enriching and different, with a Spanish influence. Loads of different types of tastes like Liver and Onions, or Pork and Scallops, and a Tri Tip was was really delicate and tasty. The food is well worth a try, and there is a good wine selection, by the glass and the bottle. The only downside was that... More

We have visited the Basin many, many times over quite a few years. We have found this neighborhood bistro to be a terrific place to eat a delicious meal in comfortable and friendly surroundings. The menu and wine list change with the seasons and the years so you don't get bored. There are always healthy choices along with wonderfully inventive... More

Steaks second to none. Menu is creative and worth the price. Not cheap, but quality never is. There was absolutely nothing that was not clearly the best. Everything about this incredible restaurant is exactly what a finicky sophisticate would demand. Perfect.

Without reservations, on a Saturday evening we were accommodated with a table for four. Food was very good. However, there was so much noise from an adjacent table, we had to raise our voices to be heard among ourselves.

My favorite restaurant in Saratoga. A friend from Germany was once taken here and now its a must stop every time he is in town. From starters to Entree's its all good. Andrew the proprietor is sly responsible type ensuring the best ingredients all managed sustainability. The atmosphere is elegant, the bar one of the best, and the service is... More

This is a good pick for a special occasion, anniversary, special guest or business conversation. It's quiet, with good service and top quality food and drink. Our fish was cooked perfectly, and the cocktails were superb. The wine list is outstanding. Pricey.
