Consistently good

Nice place, always seems to be more expensive than you would think when you walk through the front door. Food is always good and attentive service.

We had a large group for dinner last night, and appreciated being in a separate room. The food was good but not great. The service was less than stellar....not horrible but just slightly below average.

My wife and I had dinner at The Basin in mid-December, 2015 on a Saturday night. The place was packed and for a good reason: it has ALWAYS had a great menu, using the freshest ingredients and prepared perfectly. The service is attentive and considerate: my wife started coughing and our server, Bruno, arrived soon with some hot water, lemon,... More

Recently visited The Basinwhile attending a business meeting. Very professional staff and well-maintained facilities. Enjoyed a private dining room with some outstanding wine and great food. The lamb is a must when visiting The Basin. We had the sampler dessert was was interesting as well as very good. If you're in the area I suggest you stop by and enjoy... More

You will see many locals here with another couple, tables of four, and larger groups two, as well as young people seated at smaller tables, often two women who are good friends. Parking is by valet ($8.00) or hunt for a place. Food is fresh and very good, plus a wine selection, not overprices, especially for Saratoga. A hint if... More

The food here is wonderful, as is the intimate atmosphere. The outdoor patio is lovely all year round. Service is excellent and not rushed. Sometimes we share all of our dishes, and other times we each hoard our own. The food is always well prepared and nicely plated. It's hard to get a reservation, so call days ahead, especially on... Small town feel. Great bartenders. And the trout is amazing--skin is crispy and flavor is worth the visit. The gumbo may not be on the menu but if available is great as is the shrimp appetizer. Enjoy.
