Delicious dinner at The Basin!

Love the "local, wild and organic ingredients" philosophy. We sat outside on the patio - enclosed on 4 sides but open air on top. It was a romantic setting with a beautiful tree as the centerpiece, strung lights and heating lamps. Very cozy. Service was friendly and attentive. Food and wine were... read more

The trout was exceptional. I was encouraged to try the beet salad and am glad I did. Even if you are not a fan of beets - this is prepared fresh and full of flavor.

First, the service was attentive and there when you need them. The waiter went over the menu and the specials with great descriptions. The atmosphere was nice, but a bit loud until there were less people in the room. The beets salad was refreshing and the dressing just right without being overpowering. I had the Coq au vin that was... More

This place used to have pretty good food but has gone down hill as of late. I recently dined there and both my entree and that of my friend were just barely warm, not hot. Then the dessert came and it was inedible - a panna cotta that was a gelatinous, flavorless blob. When I told a friend who frequents... More

This is a charming and intimate place. It is always lively. They feature steaks and chops but the sea food is equally good. Pay attention to the specials. The sable fish one night was beautiful. Crisply seared still moist and beautifully dressed. The wine list is short but quite interesting. The servers are knowledgeable and helpful.

I had the opportunity to have dinner here with business colleagues, who are also close friends, and it was a fabulous evening. The ambiance is upbeat (yet not overly noisy), the service was first-rate, and the food was scrumptious. Sure, it's a tad pricey, but that's not surprising; after all, the restaurant is located in the charming "village" of Saratoga.... More

We've gone a couple times every year and had a great dinner. The service is very good, very knowledgeable about the menu items and the wine list. The food has always been fresh and great flavors.

always crowded, sometimes you can sneak in for a two seater table in the corner. The owner is a doll, and the ambiance is vibrant.... a must go@!

I have lived in this area for many many years and I have never eaten at The Basin in Saratoga. What a shame. Several of my friends recommended The Basin to me so we decided to check it out. It was delicious! The food was outstanding, the service was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the overall atmosphere was a nice... More

I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday night whilst on a business trip. I was surprised to find that the place was packed for midweek, a sure sign of a good restaurant. I ordered rock oysters and Ahi for main. The food was delicious, flavours well thought our and executed. If I'm being picky, there were a couple of minor... More
