We were looking for a steakhouse, and the Garmin led us to the Brothers at the Red Barn. One of the best meals I've had in years. Reminded me of the old London Chophouse in Detroit. Great food, well presented, excellent service, fantastic ambiance, but much less formal. We were there for luncheon. They just added that. A limited menu,... More

We previously ate at another Brother's restaurant in Los Olivos and had a great experience so we decided to try this one during our recent stay. Really enjoyed the ambiance and service and can't say enough about the food. Absolutely the best prime-rib we've ever had (including Lawry's in Beverly Hills), great wine, and an overall a+ experience.

The Brothers, late of Maddies Tavern, have taken the Barn to new heights. We weren't sure what to expect, but heard it was good. Nah, it was great! Food was very well presented, prepared, and flavored. I had the prime rib...second only to my own BBQ version without all the work. Wife had the halibut and loved it. The wait... More

We were so sad when The Brothers left Mattei's Tavern in Los Olivos. They are back with The Brothers at The Red Barn!! Same awesome food, wine and desserts. Our group had the lamb chops, salmon and pork chop and it was all delicious. We'll be back again and again.

OH My Goodness I had the best steak ever in my life here and being from Chicago, that's saying something. I had the 6 oz Grilled (medium) Prime Filet with caramelized onion‍ potato gratin and Stilton cheese-port wine sauce. It was possibly the best dinner I've ever had. Very expensive, but very tasty. We ate in JC's bar. The atmosphere... More

I was a little dubious of my plan to have dinner at the Red Barn after popping in for a business card early in the week only to be told that they didn't have one....but here's a takeout menu! I must say that I was COMPLETELY wrong. The food at the Red Barn was amazing....sole special to die for. Definitely... More

Food is perfect, flavor-FULL, and delicious. More about that later. Ambiance is relaxed, pristine, comfortable, with the amber hues of the woods and the wines accenting. Staff is courteous and attentive, yet low-key. You feel like you're in good hands, because you are. Outstanding place to eat, have a relaxed conversation, and recharge from the week. I had the tri-tip... More

We dropped in for a couple of drinks & sweet potato chipotle soup. It was so delicious we wanted to stop back for prime rib that looked great on the menu. We ran out of time. Next visit we'll be sure to go back & try more. Andrea at the bar was delightful.

We live in Santa Barbara and visit the SY Valley several times year. Over the past 10 years the whole area has changed dramatically---especially the restaurant scene--with too many white table cloth seriously overpriced places that attract the tourists who have changed the character of this once rustic, quaint, and "genuine" area. This is why Brother Restaurant at the Red... More
