Good food, good service

The food and service is always good. They have a wonderful deck and we feel like we have gone on vacation even though we live in Santa Ynez when we eat here.

We sat on the outside deck which was lovely, but unfortunately the food was average at best. My spinach salad came out on a small app plate, which proved difficult to eat & flicked pine nuts over the table and into my purse! The pazole was OK and our waitress was pleasant. Wished I could have given more stars, but... More

There was 10 of us and we all loved our food. The chicken is so good. Every plate was devoured and it is one of the best restaurants I have been too.

This restaurant sits just outside the downtown of the small village of Santa Inez. The menu is California eclectic. The terrace is a lovely spot to relax during the day, or on a warm evening. I appreciated the good service and wine suggestion.

Pozole on a cool day in Santa Ynez at the Vineyard House. Just add wine and your bud and it is a great day. We are on a "world tour" looking for the best mussels, key lime pie and pozole. Vineyard House wins the pozole competition. There a lots of other great menu options, a great local wine list, neat... More

We had lunch on a very warm November day. The patio had plenty of shade and was such a pleasant place to eat. There were several people with dogs, which we enjoyed seeing. We had two different salads and both were excellent. Service was also good.

We are regulars diners at the Vineyard House and it is my favorite restaurant to eat in the Santa Ynez Valley. I have never had anything but wonderfully prepared, delicious lunches and dinners here. My favorites are Gabe's Salmon and the Chicken Marsala. All the salads are very fresh and the combination of flavors is amazing. Don't forget to try... More

OMG this was the worst eggplant rollatini - tasted like it was made a long time, maybe a week in advance - like vinegar. I couldn't eat it and I love eggplant. The salads are good, but the entrees we had, left a lot to be desired. This was supposed to be the highlight of our stay and my birthday... More

In my experience, restaurants do best when they stick to one thing. So when I saw the menu here, with influences from all over, I figured we were in for a poor meal. I was wrong. Every-thing was delicious. Sometimes it's good to be wrong.
