Small restaurant with people close by. Food was good but, the best part was the friendly wait staff. Lots of noise from the honky-tonk nearby.

Stopped at Trattoria Grappolo on the suggestion of my guest (my cousin) and had a wonderful, airy visit on the restaurant's covered, but open front porch. After a light Pinot Grigio had a superb (superb!) calamari appetizer - a stuffed calamari - I don't recall the mix of things it was stuffed with, but the flavor was beyond brilliant. We... More

The restaurant is very small and very loud during peak times. We were seated at a tiny table surrounded by people, literally back-to-back with the tables around us. It was so loud we couldn't converse. We moved to the bar overlooking the pizza & prep area, and that was much better - we could hear each other and watch the... More

We drove up to Grappolo for a fancy dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed! The carpaccio and the tortellini in a butter-and-sage sauce were superb! The house wine, a local Sangiovese blend was excellent with it, too. Yes, this was one of the best meals we've ever had in a restaurant, and we've spent many weeks in... More

Feel like you have stepped into Grandma's home (especially if you're Italian) and enjoy the wonderful (large portion) food this restaurant serves. They cater to locals and those passing through as if they were family. This family owned restaurant is one of the best gems in the entire valley! Definitely worth a try! It will become a regular spot for... More

Trattoria Grappolo came recommended to us by others that we met on our trip to the Santa Ynez Valley. We were told that the Sole was a must-order, but were disappointed when we did not see it on the menu. The chef was accommodating and made it for us, and it was delish. Good service and atmosphere, probably would have... More

We stopped in as soon as they opened at 5. We chose to sit at the counter & watch the amazing chefs at work. We ordered their simple capellini as an appetizer & tiny dark haired smiling woman (maybe Blanca)? Made sure any wish was granted. She heard me say we stopped before they opened the day before & saw... More

This place is a bit tucked away so you have to look for it. We went there with a group from work and had fabulous appetizers, entrees, salads, wine and dessert. One of the people in our group told us it's owned by Bo Derek and that she frequents it often. He told us he had also seen David Crosby... More

This restaurant is one of the best I've ever eaten at. The only thing that could be better is the atmosphere. We have been here twice - once a year on a girls trip, and it is the highlight of our trip. The service is fantastic. When I asked if my food could be warmed up a little - they... More

Good place to stop for dinner when staying in Santa Yanez. My husband and I have been here a few times. Small restaurant with a big selection of meals. They always have a few specials. Great bread and olive oil!
