We stopped to visit friends who had just moved to Santa Ynez and they suggested the restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately we were seated in their overflow or large party seating area so we didn't get to enjoy the ambience or the weather from our private dining room. The food was incredible - the bruschetta was prepared on a pita so... More

Local neighborhood restaurant with good variety and fresh ingredients. Reasonably priced. Need reservations for weekends and big parties.

Very romantic atmosphere for a coupler. Little Italian restaurant. Loved it so much for dinner that we went back the next day for lunch! Spaghetti alla carbonara - delicious. Sea bass with risotto - delicious. Ciabatta bread - amazing! This restaurant will not disappoint!

My husband and I absolutely loved this place! We had a quiet lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The ahi tuna salad was amazing with superbly flavorful greens, tomatos, dressing. We also had the Seafood Risotto which was wonderful. The homemade bread was outstanding. I usually skip the bread altogether, but I could not do it at this place. We will... More

We found a gem that would be a #1 restaurant in any town and this one is worth going on a trip just for the restaurant. It looks like a converted old house fixed up nicely in a quaint little town. The food was unbelievably good. The chef used just the right flavors and seasonings to make it an ultimate... More

Small restaurant with people close by. Food was good but, the best part was the friendly wait staff. Lots of noise from the honky-tonk nearby.

Stopped at Trattoria Grappolo on the suggestion of my guest (my cousin) and had a wonderful, airy visit on the restaurant's covered, but open front porch. After a light Pinot Grigio had a superb (superb!) calamari appetizer - a stuffed calamari - I don't recall the mix of things it was stuffed with, but the flavor was beyond brilliant. We... More

The restaurant is very small and very loud during peak times. We were seated at a tiny table surrounded by people, literally back-to-back with the tables around us. It was so loud we couldn't converse. We moved to the bar overlooking the pizza & prep area, and that was much better - we could hear each other and watch the... More

We drove up to Grappolo for a fancy dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed! The carpaccio and the tortellini in a butter-and-sage sauce were superb! The house wine, a local Sangiovese blend was excellent with it, too. Yes, this was one of the best meals we've ever had in a restaurant, and we've spent many weeks in... More

Feel like you have stepped into Grandma's home (especially if you're Italian) and enjoy the wonderful (large portion) food this restaurant serves. They cater to locals and those passing through as if they were family. This family owned restaurant is one of the best gems in the entire valley! Definitely worth a try! It will become a regular spot for... More
