Excellent Mexican menu choices. This is a busy place so call ahead. Probably the best Mexican restaurant for miles around. Indoor and outdoor seating. Casual atmosphere and can be noisy. Fine for groups with small children. Service is a bit slow.

A local small town Mexican restaurant with very good food and excellant service. The portions were generous and well prepared. I would definitely return.

Dos Carlitos, I love your Shrimp Empanadas! With an expansive menu, I often choose this appetizer, as it is also great for a small meal. The Margaritas are great, guacamole authentic (not the mushy stuff w/ "filler) and their salsas are stellar. I have bought salsa "to go" it is so good. The bar is well stocked and features a... I'm a local. I love it for sophisticated Mexican food. As a vegetarian I always get the Chili Relleno, which is different than in other restaurants. The sauce is very good. The freely offered corn, bean, etc. dip is delicious and I could make a meal out of it. It serves all kinds of drinks but likes to specialize in... More

We stopped in for lunch at Dos Carlitos after a horseback ride with Vinos Vaqueros. We shared the chips and salsa (tasted very fresh - with corn and beans - delicious) and chili rellenos. The pepper was filled with cheese and lightly fried - it was so flavorful. Our server was attentive and when he suggested flan for dessert, we... More

A must for tequila aficionados. Great variety of brands and drink presentations. Dittos for the food. Our server recommended the pasilla chili relleno which my wife ordered and was wonderful. I had the carne asada which was also very good. The service was great as well so all in all a great experience. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Look I love Mexican food and being Mexican American I can say I know a bit about Mexican food. My wife and I had the sopes and not only were they delicious they were also filling. The masa was soft and delicious. I also had the chili verde and that was good too. Their bean salsa is really good. I... More

Nice and fun place. The margaritas are STRONG. (Strong enough that I didn't particularly care for mine truthfully.) The carne asada nachos were incredible. And the enchiladas are delicious. It's nothing that really stands out, but it was a solid meal. Note that they close ridiculously early. Maybe 9pm?

Very good but, IMHO, not great, Mexican fare. The decor was tasteful and comfortable. There were two people to greet everyone upon their arrival, but the apparently more-than-adequate staff didn't seem to translate to a great deal of attentiveness to the seated diners' needs. Compared to other quality Mexican restaurants in Southern CA, the food was somewhat pricey.
