We were excited to give this place a try. Needless to say, I expected more. My wife had one of Guy's signature pasta dishes. It was off the hook…at least that is what the waiter said. It was, that was the best part. I had the Buffalo Meatloaf sandwich. They were a little heavy handed with the Italian Sausage so... More

While traveling through Santa Rosa we were lucky enough to catch a lunch at Johnny Garlic's! As fans of Guy from TV it was nice to enjoy a meal at one of his local spots. Wife had Ahi tacos and I had Cajun Pasta and both were flavorfull as seen on TV! Highly recommend the stop if traveling in the... More

The food is good here, but not top chef good, and the prices are high. There is little ambiance to the place. The waitstaff are always efficient and friendly. If you want to come here just to say you ate at Guy's place, then you will be satisfied. But there are several other Italian oriented restaurants that will provide a... More

We go to Johnny Garlics all the time. Hit and miss. Now they have a big mouth manager for the kitchen that stands outside of the kitchen and just shouts all night long to the kitchen. That was all we could hear. Come on really. he was like happy hour happy hour and so on. Why do they need that.... More

1. I am not that familiar with pricing in California - so my gut is that the menu pricing was a little high. 2. Menu selection is awesome! There is a whole range of choices to include exotic meat (e.g. Buffalo). Reading the menu is pretty fun 3. The portion sizes are huge! I got the buffalo meatloaf sandwich and... More

It feels like a chain, the acoustics are poor and the food is terrible. It's not what you might be expecting from Guy and it's certainly not at all reflective of the many wonderful restaurants you can find in wine country. Don't bother with it unless you want a very ordinary meal in a noisy restaurant located right off the... More

We were here on a quiet Wednesday. Otherwise, I think the place would be too noisy to hear your table companions. The buffalo meatloaf sandwich and garlic fries were delicious. The garlic was so sweet! Service was good.

We love triple D so while in wine country we had to drop Guy's restaurant. Unfortunately it does resemble a chain but we were generally very pleased with our meal. Johnny Garlic's uses ALOT OF GARLIC, surprise surprise, which we love. We had great garlic fries as an appetizer. My wife had a mac-cheese burger (it was ok) and I... More

We make a habit of trying out the spots Guy has visited on Diners Drive ins and Dives and have been quite happy. We decided to try out his restaurant and we're truly a disappointment! The food was mediocre at best and the restaurant uncomfortably hot. If you like burnt burger buns, chewy flat bread, and greasy burgers then this... More

Expectations were maybe a little higher due to the connection to a known 'food celebrity' owner if you will, but as I should have known this was without merit. The food was average. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad. Service was friendly and helpful. Although the location was overwhelmed with patrons the wait time and food cook time seemed longer than expected,... More
