A San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area Top 100 Restaurant for four years, Willi's Wine Bar's
classic roadhouse appeal captures the casual, laid-back nature of Sonoma County Wine
Country. Tourists and locals feel equally at home enjoying a quick bite or lingering over a
glass of wine. The menu at Willi's features international small plates, some wildly inventive
and others comfortingly familiar. Staff is eager to help create perfect pairings with wines
from the extensive wine list, many by local producers. Most wines are available in twoounce

The best wine bar in town

Sonoma was a bucket list thing and the experience overall was overwhelming. Great service, affordable, complimentary parking. This people have figured all out. Best in class wine, great appetizers and tasting for different budgets. A must do in Sonoma.

Add mine to the rave reviews here. We arrived at opening time for lunch and were seated promptly. The menu consists of small plates, which can be shared, and the wide variety probably has something for everyone. We had seven plates and the cheese board for the four of us, which was enough and left room for dessert. All of... More

As noted in other reviews, this wine bar is noisy and filled with locals - it has a great vibe and I could see that it would be very easy to lose a few hours at the bar. My partner and I tried a couple of wine flights and several tapas dishes. My pick was the bone marrow (you do... More

After driving thru the Redwoods all day, we were hungry and ready to relax. Waited for 15-20 minutes for a seat but it was worth it. The place is definitely a hot spot for locals and visitors alike and is very noisy so don't expect a quiet romantic evening. The servers are high energy and bus the tables after each... More

Really enjoyed the great wine selection and small plates. The foie gras poppers and Steakhouse oyster rocks fella was awesome. Try the local cheeses and charcuterie. The scharffenberger no flour cake is great at dessert. I did have wine spilled on me or this might be a 5 star. A little apology but mostly avoidance. Oh well

Because many local friends suggested, I decided to go at least once. And I might go back with friends in future but not with my husband to celebrate our special day. It is little too noisy to hear each other's voice, tables are set too close. Some plates are unique and worth try to inspire own cooking at home. Wines... More

We enjoyed a superb dinner and service at Willi's Wine Bar. The restaurant specializes in wine, wine flights, and small plate type food. We dined there a couple of days before New Years. We were seated in the patio area. They have heat lamps which is good as it was a cold evening. For our delightful meal, we enjoyed: 1)... More

We go to Napa and Sonoma regularly for winery touring and tastings. We usually stay in Santa Rosa too to access both easily. Willi's in Santa Rosa has been our favorite place for dinner after a day out and about, and we love the great small plate dishes to choose from. Great menu, and hard to select only a few.... More

Ate dinner with my husband on a Wednesday night in November. I made reservations via OpenTable, glad I did as the place was full at 6:30PM. Sat outside, which was very comfortable with the heaters. The wine selection was great, had a flight of local reds. Great selection of small plates and all that we tried were outstanding. Definitely would... More

Very, very good tapas and wine. Casual yet feels very wine country. Great wine. Atmosphere is cozy and house-like. Highly recommended.
