This place has closed. No longer in business. The owner has another place, nearby. Jackson's! Nothing more to say. Pls remove from trip advisor.
Nice, cozy atmosphere. Good enough menu and food. Service was rather impersonal and did not feel welcoming. I am not looking for my server to be my friend, but we were checked on by three different servers, who had not communicated to eachother, so we ended up feeling rushed at an early Friday night dinner. (Are you finished with that?... More
The owners have changed their focus for this restaurant. They now are serving "comfort food" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Same chef, a clever approach... not your ordinary comfort food, be ready for an up-market approach:) Check the hours and days of the week they are open as this may be changing as they find their way in this new... simple and rustic... empty tables during dinner time should of been my first hint. The food and service was good, but I think I can cook some chicken and beans for less than what they charge.

Food was very good here. However, our server had an attitude that was a turn off. The bus person however made up for it and was very friendly and got us what we needed. Very good food. Nice wine list. It was quiet the night we went but still enjoyed it. Phenomenal beet salad. Another review says that it is closing and reopening under same ownership. I'm sure it will be just as good.
Middle of September 2012, Petite Syrah will close. After few days it will reopen as "3 square cafe" under the same ownership. Opwn breakfast, lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday. I will report after opening.
The food here was some of the best I've ever had in wine country. The service was excellent as well. They made us feel very relaxed and pampered.
Great food, great service, smart wine service. Just a wonderful experience. The pork and duck were superb!
