The food here was great. I had the prawn ceviche and the pescado a la macho. Excellent! My wife had the crab appetizer withe the yukon gold mashed potatoes, all came with fried plantains. Sangria was delicious. Dessert was awesome, flan for me and the ice cream cookie thing for my wife. We plan on coming back several times to... More

Our second visit to this peruvian zagat rated restaurant did not disappoint. The vegetarian entree of picante vegetables was excellent as was my yukon gold stuffed crab appetizer. Portions are on the small side. prices are moderate. service is friendly and informal. I think it takes a few visits to get to know what to order but this rose land... More

Simple Peruvian food in a tiny restaurant. Very reasonably priced, very nice service. A friendly, informal place. I will definitely go again next time I'm in the area.

Ate dinner here recently - had the three mixed ceviches which are really good value and really tasty. Then shared the pork stew with white beans and rice the salad with ahi and avocado - both also excellent. Dessert was an alfajor with dulce de leche and the corn pudding with fruit - which turned out to be a kind... More

This small space is very authentic. They have an amazing selection of ceviches, and offer a tasting menu where you can try three different varieties. They also make great sandwiches with a Peruvian twist. On a recent Saturday lunch visit, they were offering an empanada special. Few things better than a good empanada, and these did not disappoint!

After having heard positive things, I was looking forward to a really good meal. I made a reservation, but the place was empty. I can see why. I guess that should have been my warning. The ceviche was really below average. It was a bit old, full of sinew, and made me quite nervous about eating it. Also the soy... More

Best empanadas I've ever had. Not fancy but wonderful food. The te lapis in the ceviche tasted as if it had been caught 10 min before it was served. The cookies with dolce de le he positively melt in your mouth.

My youngest daughter, who wants to travel to Peru next summer, found this restaurant. We were not disappointed. If you get a chance, eat at Saxon. Service was great, and the food was delicious. We had a variety of entrees, an appetizer, and some awesome peruvian donuts for dessert. After our meal, we had an enjoyable conversation with the owner,... More

Visited Sazon for dinner. The food seemed very authentic and extremely flavorful. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The Aji de Gallina was excellent. Authentic Peruvian cuisine is what we received and the care and attention to detail was very evident. Highly recommended.

We highly recommend Sazon Peruvian Cuisine (1129 Sebastopol Rd., Santa Rosa, CA 95407, tel. 707-523-4346, www.sazonsr.com). Michele was a very good server and Juan José a very good host. We had a delicious and authentic Peruvian meal. We started with Ahi Ceviche Nikei ($14) described as ahi tuna, soy, ponzu, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, huancatay, sesame seeds, sesame oil, avocado and... More
