Description: Sazon is Spanish for "seasoning" and synonymous with incredible Peruvian...
Sazon is Spanish for "seasoning" and synonymous with incredible Peruvian cuisine! We combine family recipes with great service for amazing dining. Peruvian cuisine is a reflection of Peru's diverse geography, immigrant cultures, and even pre-Inca recipes! With a truly unique fusion of cultures, you'll taste dishes with hints of Spanish, African, Italian, and even Asian cuisines. At Sazon, our family serves authentic Peruvian recipes passed down by our great-grandmother, Maria Olinda, who herself boasted Peruvian, African, Spanish, and Italian ancestry! We invite you to share one of our unforgettable Ceviches with a co-worker at lunch; with 7 to choose from including a classic Ceviche Mango or the Ahi Ceviche Nikei with ahi tuna, you're sure to escape your workday stresses. Or bring loved ones for dinner to indulge in the amazing Pollo a la Brasa, free-range chicken marinated with a house blend of traditional Peruvian spices! Whether you're joining us for lunch or dinner, with friends or family, we invite you to savor the unique Peruvian flavors at Sazon!

Sazon is one of Santa Rosa’s local gems

This little unpretentious Zagat rated Peruvian restaurant consistently delivers elegant gourmet food at taqueria prices. We’ve sampled a dozen dishes and all have been very delicious. We generally go with whatever the owner is recommending that day. My favorite so far has been a classical... read more

This little unpretentious Zagat rated Peruvian restaurant consistently delivers elegant gourmet food at taqueria prices. We’ve sampled a dozen dishes and all have been very delicious. We generally go with whatever the owner is recommending that day. My favorite so far has been a classical Peruvian seafood stew which was similar to Spanish Basque seafood stews. Sazon is a very... Went with friends on the recommendation of our Bed and Breakfast hosts. Had an amazing meal including appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desert. The waitress was perfect and the chef came to check on our table a couple of times. Seriously delicious food. Everyone loved the gazpacho and I loved my Lomo Saltado. My friends ensalada bistec was also a must... More

I have been few time n this restaurant and the food it is great quality and well cooked. The quantity it is not tremendous but enough for one person. The price it average for Santa Rosa.

My roast chicken was a good lunch dish although it didn't come across as especially Peruvian. The appetizer sampler was a real treat. I wish this restaurant was in our neighborhood because I suspect we'd be regular customers. The whole menu sounds scrumptious.

Thanks for the compliments! It's definitely too bad you don't live closer, because we'd love for you to try more of our authentic Peruvian menu items! I hope we'll still get to see you back for a visit in the near future. Looking forward to it, Juan L - Co-Owner More

The owners of our B&B recommended Sazon and it did not disappoint. Dinner was excellent. Definitely get the paella!

Very disappointed after reading numerous reviews, Went for lunch on a Friday, the restaurant only had three other diners. The appetizer arrived well after the main courses. The food was nothing exceptional and way over priced for the ambiance and location. Dishes that were $14-16 should have been $9-10. In this location they are competing with really good, far less... Thanks for this feedback, David. We're actually a Peruvian restaurant, so that may explain some of the differences you're talking about here. I hope you'll give us another chance to impress you in the future. I know we can! Best wishes, Juan L - Co-Owner More

This cozy restaurant serves some of the best Peruvian food I have ever had! The informal atmosphere and friendly service is good, but the food is SUPERB! I recommend the Paella and the local beer, Cusqueno -- a delightful pairing that makes one want to return again and again. If you are hesitant to try this cuisine, don't fear: it... More

We went to this restaurant because I love Peruvian food and this place had very high online recommendations. It did not disappoint. If anything the food was better than our high expectations. While the restaurant is small and homey and a bit off the beaten path, it is certainly worth a visit. Not only was the food fresh and fantastic... More

Sazon's proprietor roams from table to table of this intimate little restaurant ensuring you're having the best experience while enjoying his family's remarkable cuisine. Located in an unassuming, 4-store strip mall right off the road, Sazon is one of those 'finds' that gives you hope that the family restaurant is alive and well in California. The atmosphere is good.
