Small place but big on taste, a local gem

This is an out-of-the-way place that's short on seating but long on taste. My wife had the eggs benedict and raved about them as the best ever. I had the huevos rancheros, which was equally rave-worthy; someone else had the duck hash and loved it. The place is small, and will seat only about 30... read more

Stopped in for breakfast and glad we did. Plenty of food, tasted great and everyone was very pleasant. I had the best quiche ever. The thing that makes this restaurant a stand out though are the people who work there. Every one of them had smiles on their faces, which radiated out to everyone who was eating there. You could... I always stop here when I'm in the area.... food and service are both really good. I don't have a favorite yet.... today I tried the breakfast burrito ..... humongous and delicious!!!! I'll be back in a few months!

Visiting friends in Sonoma and were taken and treated to a breakfast dining experience like those of the East Coast many years ago. The setting is just plain warm, unpretentious and accessible. Attached to a neighborhood rustic hotel, Jeffrey's offers a menu of unique favorites but also special eats. Corned beef hash was a wow along with Joes Special omelette... More

From the outside we thought that this café/restaurant was going to be quiet. Not at all, it turned out to be busy, not only with hoteliers staying at the adjoining Hillside Inn but clearly local and passing trade. Nice welcome, clear explanation of breakfasts on offer and copious amounts of ice water and a really well made coffee. The breakfast... More

Was there last Thursday. The food was good and generous. The service left something to be desired. Waitresses stood around talking while we waited to place our order. Got no refill on ice tea ( $2.75 for 1 glass). Had to ask for a box for left overs. Not enough containers for salsa to go (said it was enough). Not... More

I love this little place. Service is usually speedy, food is fresh and hot, and the vegetable hash with poached eggs is my go-to item!

Went two weekends in a row. Ordered the same dish. Biscuits and gravy. Scrambled. Country potatoes. Two weeks ago it was the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The week after it was the worse. No flavor, greasy and tasted oily. Will still go back but will not order this dish again.

We stopped for lunch and were impressed with large size servings and the reasonable price point. And everything tasted fresh and delish. Service was also very good, and the location is fine for touristing in Santa Rosa. I would be a regular here if I lived in the area. If you have the chance, check this place out.

Jeffrey's lived up to it's Trip Advisor ratings. I had the Lamb hash and it was outstanding; my wife had the vegetable hash and it was also excellent. And the quantities were very filling. You won't need lunch if you eat breakfast here.
