Yep it's good. And popular.

Simple, clean place with good island food. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Hard to find Puerto Rican cuisine anywhere in California and this is decent stuff. Had the plantain stuffed with ground beef - a bit too salty but still fun.

This place is still finding its groove, I think. It's a bit hit or miss. The signature Pollo al Horno is delicious, as are the plantain chips. And I've had their catering several times-- always excellent. However, the service inside the restaurant is inconsistent. They've gotten my takeout order wrong a couple of times, some wait staff are slow and/or... More

We had a delicious, authentic Puerto Rican dinner! Highly recommend!!! Definitely try the plantains. Good choice for vegetarian diners.

Love the fried plantains, the steak, the stuffed plantains.. rice, beans etc.. all good and very unique. This is not Mexican! I am in love the Puerto Rican food now! This is right down town so easy to get to and easy to bar hop from. Enjoy!

Is what I said when I looked the menu. It was perfectly delicious and I had it stuffed with chicken. yum. The canoas were also perfect. Tostones w quest as the happy hour appetizer was delicious. I live in Maryland where you cannot find any Puerto Rican food ever. I was excited to eat here and it exceeded my expectations.... More

I'm sorry, but I cannot review this restaurant for its food etc. Our last visit was fine. Good food, good service, etc. However, this time, at the door we were told that it might be 15-20 minutes before we could get a table. We noticed four tables that were free and inquired as to whether or not they were reserved.... More

This was our first experience with Puerto Rican food, so I don't have a point of reference. All I can say is that we really enjoyed the new flavors. Among different forms of plantain that we tried, we found the fried sweet ones the most delicious. I think the prices are a little high, with respect to the type of... More

El Coqui is a great spot to meet friends for drinks and small plates! Very friendly staff. The food is so flavorful and fun to eat! Great selection of beers and wines. Really enjoyed this place - definitely a repeat.

One of my 3 favorite places in Santa Rosa (others are John Ash and Monti's). This place is very comfortable, excellent service (we sit at the bar often) and the food is out of this world. If you're used to basic burgers this will really open your eyes. My favorites here are the appetizers -- Empanadilla - like an Empanada... More

Stopped here for a nice dinner on Saturday afternoon. Food is authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Very flavorful, tasty and my boyfriend who is from Puerto Rico said he was feeling like he us having his mom's cooking. We had a sampler and the daily special for Saturday. Sangria was pretty good. This place was packed and stayed busy the whole... More
