Stopped here for a nice dinner on Saturday afternoon. Food is authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Very flavorful, tasty and my boyfriend who is from Puerto Rico said he was feeling like he us having his mom's cooking. We had a sampler and the daily special for Saturday. Sangria was pretty good. This place was packed and stayed busy the whole... More

My husband and I took a trip to California for our 20th wedding anniversary and went to Santa Rosa to visit the Charles Schulz Museum. While in town, we were told that El Coqui had good food...Puerto Rican food. We are adventurous, so we tried it. And...we LOVED it! We had never had Puerto Rican food before, and now it... More

My friend and her husband went to this restaurant because we heard it was "good" Puerto Rican Food. Her husband is Puerto Rican and I am of Cuban decent so we share similar food cultures. We all ordered a different item and we all did not like the food. We ordered Pollo Horno, the sauce poured over it hard to... More

Given the plethora of Mexican and Chinese Restaurants in Sonoma county, it's refreshing to find new cuisine. El Coqui delivers with a fresh and interesting menu. The Cancoa con carne Molino was excellent, as was the special of the day. The hot sauce at each table is mildly spicy, but a must try. My wife and I have been here... More

This restaurant serves food from Puerto Rico. My daughter loves the banana chips and the bottles they keep on the table of the spicy oil you can pour on everything. I buy here a bottle from here whenever we go. I think the food is pretty good and the service is great.

I love this place. The owners really take pride in their business. I spent six weeks in Puerto Rico and went to high class places to Mom and Pop places. All served authentic Puerto Rican food. El Coqui is better than all of them....and it is in my home town. Could not ask for better food.

What's to love here? Oh, so much! Let's start with the Sangria- so fruity and delicious you can't stop at just one! Do yourself a favor and order a pitcher of Sangria. The Canoa (stuffed plantain) is my all time favorite dish! The plaintain chips& housemade guacamole are incredible! Can't wait to eat there again soon!

Puerto Rico ! in Santa Rosa ? Seems like we are getting a long overdue diversity in Latino flavors in Sonoma County and it's about time, after a while you can only eat so much of the same old American version of Mexican food....This place is a breath of fresh air somewhat authentic and lots of good flavors, The service... We had not tried Puerto Rican food before, so took advantage of the opportunity. I must say that I was not overly enthusiastic. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Had the Chicken Horno, was not keen on the beans, but the chicken, the plantains and the avocado and tomato salad were all very good. Found the music enjoyable, but a bit... More
