My cousin and I stopped in for lunch. I asked the waitress what was good and added some pork for 3$ extra, or something along that. Service great, a little slow to come back and refill but i'd definitely eat here again when i visit! Yummmy!

Enjoyed the food, but had the misfortune to sit near their speakers and for some reason or other they cranked them up for one song (someone's favourite, I assume) and we sat there, blasted against our seats, until the song was done. I have to say it detracted from the experience.

The avocado salad was well-prepared and came with the entree. The service was good. On the minus side, the fish fritters were undercooked and runny on the inside and the plantains were burned on the outside. The beans were good but the rice was cold. I would probably not return.

Whenever I want to have a truly yummy meal or show someone a great time, El Coqui is a top choice. The baked chicken or Pollo Horno is the best on the menu. With it I get the Spanish rice, the red beans and the sweet plantains. The chicken is mouthwatering and well seasoned. The red beans are also specially... More

Quite some time ago I'd taken my daughter here for lunch as it had been one of our favorites. The bill was a major mix up, service just so so and food a disappointment. Last night we took her there as a family for her 22nd. birthday celebration. Glad we gave it a second try. Service great, fairly reasonable, filling... More

While on a business trip a co worker told me about a great place I should check out. Being from Puerto Rico I was a bit skeptical about this place but was in dire need of my yummy cuisine, ended up coming back four nights in a row and brought my husband when he came up to visit. Very good... More

I've never tried Puerto Rican food before but someone recommended this and my wife and I thought we'd give it a try. I'm so glad we did. Place was fine and the service was friendly and fast. Best of all was the food: amazing, delicious! Difficult to describe if you've not tried - but a sweeter, more 'fruity' version of... More

Having visited Puerto Rico several times and enjoying their color, music and especially their food, we were more than pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem in the middle of Santa Rosa, CA. Adorned with PR flags, pictures of Tito Puente, and small (very small) coqui figurines, one would have thought you were in old San Juan. The interior decoration... More

Highly recommended while we were in Santa Rosa, we found this restaurant to have an extensive menu, exceptionally helpful wait staff, wonderful sangria and a flavorful experience of Puerto Rican cuisine. DH had Canoas con Carne Molida, with pork, (Monterey Jack cheese and pork stuffed sweet plantain) black beans, Spanish rice, with an avocado/tomato garnish. He hadn't had plantains before... More
