Tremendous other than the location

Unfortunately located in a surprisingly rough part of town the unattractive exterior gives the visitor no confidence. However, plunge in anyway for a sumptuous interior of leather, dark wood and books. As the name implies, vegetarians probably going to be resentful their table-mates dragged them... read more

Visited this establishment whilst staying at the Hyatt Hotel in Santa Rosa. We walked from the hotel, and I agree that this restaurant is in a rough part of town. At first we wondered what the hotel had recommended! However, once inside, this place is fantastic. Perfect venue for taking clients or just for a great meal out. We wanted... More

I don't think I need to go to San Francisco for a great prime rib. Stark's took care of that. My husband's ribeye steak was absolutely delicious. He still talks about it and our friend who got a taste of it wants to come back and have it. So, we'll be coming back and try tie ribeye. The mashed potatoes... More

Unfortunately located in a surprisingly rough part of town the unattractive exterior gives the visitor no confidence. However, plunge in anyway for a sumptuous interior of leather, dark wood and books. As the name implies, vegetarians probably going to be resentful their table-mates dragged them here as the focus is squarely on the carnivores. Meats of different levels of refinement... More

The food was great and atmosphere relaxed and inviting! We were greeted warmly and served promptly. From bread to entrees everything was excellent!

For a steakhouse that is supposed to be great how can you make raw oysters that are so bad. We'll stop wondering and accept it. Staff is cool and entertaining. Drinks are equally good. But.... a raw oyster should be just raw

We were in town visiting friends and were lucky enough to go to this restaurant on Restaurant/Food week. For four people getting the restaurant special (ribeye and potato, salad and dessert) plus a round of drinks was around $250. The in-town couple said the last time they were there, their dinner for two was around the same price (so we... More

Expensive but delicious food and good service. Start with the very cheese y Caesar salad. Steak is always cooked exactly as requested, and barbecue sauce is great. If you ask for horseradish, it is creamy and delicious. Love that this wine-country restaurant shows its respect by having no corkage fee. For this alone, it's worth giving them some business.

First time here. Friends who still live in town said it was good. So we went. Great service, excellent food. A little pricey but not unreasonable. Very busy considering it was a week night.

Very good steak though my medium rare came out moo'ing. Super expensive, this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. All sides and salads are an individual charge and pretty expensive ($7 for a fully dressed baked potato.) They brought us this delicious bread smothered in butter and garlic. The potato fondue appetizer was very good, perfectly roasted potatoes with a... More

We were referred here by a local who proclaim this the best steak ever. Maybe she doesn't get out much. It was ok. Not great. Neighborhood is scary. The place is large And very dark in true steakhouse style. There are multiple steak choices and seafood too. It's all a la cart and expensive. Steak was too large but mostly... More
