I've been here several times now when visiting Santa Paula and we've enjoyed it each time! The food is really good. Have had a shrimp po' boy, croque madame, and an omelet (on different occasions of course)! The croque madame was a ham sandwich with a fried egg and so good!! Their portion sizes are very generous (I have yet... More

Ventura County and its restaurants are fairly marginal no matter what the "food critics" write in the various free newspapers/magazines to promote tourism. Santa Paula isn't exactly known as a gourmet food mecca. . . or a mecca of much of anything. Driving down the main street on a Sunday at brunch time was depressing until we saw Rabalais Bistro.... We met with friends on a Friday night. We sat out on the front covered patio and had dinner. Our food was excellent! The dessert and latte was a nice conclusion to our evening. The owner Tracy was very accommodating and our waitress Chelsey took good care of us. The Louisiana style food was tasty and we all had a... More

I've sampled lunch here a couple of times and weekend breakfast once. I will definitely come back again and feel it warrants the 40 minute drive it will take for me to get here. Even with a very steady trade, I haven't felt rushed and feel the food quite adequate, the pastries even better, and the service cordial and knowledgeable.... More

First off, the food is good. We started making it a once a every two week visit. It's the only place you can get a good Po' Boy in Ventura County. We'd drive some 40 miles to visit. The past two times, however, I felt like I was being nickled and dimed. If I order a Po' Boy with extra... More

I had split pea soup and a salad. Both were very good and the price was reasonable. We were there close to closing time and the service lacked a little in timing

My family and I have eaten breakfast here on several occasions, and for lunch, once. There are several reasons we like this restaurant, but we have also been disappointed at times. We find the ambiance pleasant and comfortable, and the service to be courteous, friendly and efficient. The menu is somewhat limiting, that is, it is important to be in the... More

A gem of a clever menu in a sleepy town. Great coffee, dishes, and ambiance. We stayed in town for a wedding and had friends from louisiana say it was best cajun food theyve had in california. Dont miss at any time of day.

First time... I thought Trip Advisor got this one wrong. Service was slow and terrible, food was over salted and over cooked, food did not seem fresh, things like soup were forgotten, drinks were only refilled when flagged down. We were a party of 10 and I think two people liked their food. The French onion soup was horrible.

We enjoyed a delicious brunch today. My husband ordered the Big Easy Omelet and I went with the Red Neck Breakfast with poached eggs, bacon and fried green tomatoes with creole hollandaise. Yummy! Both were so good and of course, we also had to order the Beignets - OMG good. Nice to have good restaurants in Santa Paula - this... More
