Thank You

This is a great spot for all your meals, especially breakfast and brunch. They make great desserts and coffee too. The venue and staff are wonderful.

My husband and I took the scenic route to Cambria and decided to have breakfast in Santa Paula. Based on the TA reviews we opted for Rabalais Bistro and what a treat! We sat out front and enjoyed the quaint little town and incredible weather. This is definitely a local meeting place as everyone greeted each other by name. It’s... More

This restaurant has NOLA written all over it. Southern charm abounds. Excellent menu with very unique choices, all excellent. The beignets are to die for. Good wine list with pricepoint options. Love doing business with locals.

Rabelais is that unique place in Santa Paula where I usually see many people I know whenever I go in, but different people every time. It has a universal draw because of its tasteful atmosphere, open space, patio on Main St., upper room, along with excellent coffee, pastries and New Orleans cuisine. We have also had large gatherings; the staff... More

We stopped by for lunch while in the area. Nice location on a corner in downtown Santa Paula. Covered outdoor patio seating in front of the restaurant, very spacious inside with an upstairs area as well. I had the Croque Monsieur, which is a hot open faced sandwich of thin slices of ham and melted gruyere cheese on a baguette.... More

Taking the long way home and detouring through Santa Paula, my wife and I decided to have lunch. We drove through the town and tried to identify where we would eat. My wife selected the Bistro and what a great decision! A huge space inside belied the few tables outside the front door. Super high ceilings. Wonderful space between tables.... More

We have been to Rabalais now on 4 different occasions and have been thrilled with the food and the service every time! We used to fly to Seattle for the best Seafood chowder but no more! Now we drive 11 miles and get a cup or bowl of the best chowder chock full of shrimp, clams and other goodies!! We... More

Who knew you could find the tastes and ambience of New Orleans in the countryside of Ventura County? Beignets, gumbo, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, Po' Boys, Andouille sausage, croque monsieur, Louisiana BBQ, plus soups and salads - it's all here and delicious! Decorated with Southern charm with the inevitable music in the background, Rabalais Bistro and Bakery is... More

Rabalais' is a wonderful alternative to all the Mexican restaurants in the area (not that there is anything wrong with Mexican, just that you might want something else). Rabalais features tasty Cajun treats and has a bakery next door, to boot! The soups that we tried (Gumbo and Mushroom) and the Beet salad made great appetizers. The main courses, the... More

The food was great. Hard to find good Cajun food in California. I will be coming back here. Service as a drop slower then I'd like but food made up for it.
