My favorite place to dine when in Santa Monica. Their food is very authentic and delicious as are their cocktails.
We stopped in for Happy Hour after walking on the beach and promenade. Though close to Ocean Drive and with the ocean in view with outdoor seating, the noise level dropped which allowed us to have a view of the sea, sit outside and enjoy our conversation. The prices were excellent during happy hour. We ordered five plates and were... More
This is far from Spanish level. Bread is toasted (=grilled with a strong taste of beeing burnt), potatoes seemed microwaved totally without freshness. Unsalted food, too much garlic and missing the last touch. Though staff is serviceminded and location is good, will not return. Pintxos with jamon and figues where delicious when taking away the burnt bread...
Love Bar Pinxto. Been going here since we moved to Santa Monica. Authentic Tapas with the sea air right outside. We even see the head chef of this restaurant shopping for local, seasonal produce weekly at the farmers market here. What else do you need to know. Smaller spot so don't expect to drop in at 8:00 pm on a... More
Bar Pintxo's location is what I like best. It's a good place to enjoy a sangria and a couple of tapas if you find a seat outside.
Great food and location. Chef joe's second restaurant, great food and service. Best happy hour in town.
The word 'average' pretty much sums the place up. Sangria was pretty poor, service average and a bit slow, food ok but nothing to write home about. Tad on the expensive side for what it was. Wouldn't return.
Very authentic Spanish tapas and the place is run by an excellent local chef. They change the menu pretty often and have great sangria and fun music. Close to the promenade and beach.
This is a great spot to go with a small group of adventurous eaters. The three of us ordered 7 menu items and shared it all. Our favorites were the sautéed calamari, the mussels, the dates and the chicken stew. The potatoes were okay, very different from my Spain travels, and the salted cod croquettes were kind of nasty. This charming shoebox of a restaurant is like a bit of Barcelona by the Pacific. On a damp, foggy evening this was a cozy place to drop into. Right away we could tell this was a good decision. The aromas from the small kitchen were out of this world. We enjoyed a variety of tapas including grilled calamari which was... More
