Food with a view

Because we always fly in to the US via Los Angeles, we always start our holidays with a visit here for dinner. We love to sit on the back deck area so we can see the ocean and watch the sun set. The staff are a lot of fun and make dinner a memorable occasion. The food is good but... read more

We are on holiday from the UK. First and last trip to Bubba Gumps.Service was poor, the food was poor. 2 x adults 2 x children $125. Don't pay for the location, go somewhe that serves decent food.

Bubba Gump on the Santa Monica Pier has a great atmosphere. It is on a world famous location and right on the beach. Lots of beautiful views. All of our meals were perfect. Great fried food, smoked salmon and drinks. The wait was fairly long but there is a lot you can do to kill the time. Shopping, rides, fishing... More

Really poor service, the quality of the food was medicore at best. Prices were fair, but I felt the restaurant could have been cleaner. My husband and I came with our granddaughter who is 4, and I had to ask if there was a kid menu. I would not recomend this for people with children. This is more for the... More

Visited on the pier at Santa Monica. We were near a window with a great view of the beach. Food awesome as usual but a steep price. Service is always excellent. You can park all day for $6 within steps of the restaurant.

This was our second time going to a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Still the best seafood we have had. Love love love the coconut shrimp. My 17 yr old son actually finished an entire rack of ribs. He said they were the best he's ever had. Great experience. The only thing I would have changed was to have a waitress... More

Yes the prices may seem a tad high as I've seen others say in their reviews.... BUT you can't beat the location nor the view. I would expect to pay a little more for the location and wonderful experience. The specialty drink I had was delicious and provided me with a nice glass keepsake to take home to Texas. I... More

Part Forest Gump meets Jimmy Buffett, a nice place to watch the sun go down. Overpriced specialty drinks, but you might not care by the time you get the bill. Waitstaff work hard to make the visit fun.

We ate here for lunch last week. I think the prices were a little high for what you get. Especially the beer. We ordered 2 of their tall beers which were maybe 16-20oz and they cost over $12.00 each. That is a lot for draft beer. Forget about the souvenir shop. I saw a 20oz plastic tumbler cup with a... More

Came here after several failed attempts to find a restaurant with a variety of good shrimp dishes. We were pleasantly surprised!! Nathan our server was phenomenal! He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and quick. I enjoyed the shrimp New Orleans. It was delicious and the shrimp was cooked just right. My husband had pasta and that was also good. I... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
