Night out with friends

There were 7 of us dining there last night. Very generous sized Chopped Antipasto Salad way more than enough for all of us. We ordered Pizza and Chicken Parm with Spaghetti. We ate here twice on our recent visit to California. The food is good (not great--but dependable). Over 2 nights, we had pizza, steak panini, burger with waffle fries, and spaghetti with meat sauce. What makes this place special is the service. Most of the diners seemed to be regulars who were well-known to the friendly wait staff. On Saturday... More

I've passed this restaurant, myriad times over the past 25 years. Initially I recall seeing it when in the area for a jazz concert and comedy show with my former spouse back in the early 1980s. A friend invited me to dine for lunch there on a Friday afternoon. Ir is a lovely, congenial spot complete with free and valet... More

We were very lucky to find this restaurant. We were on a 10 day visit to Santa Monica from the UK and just happened to find this restaurant. We loved the atmosphere - we ate here many times as well as popping in for a beer. We were made to feel welcome right from our first visit. The food was... More

I am a regular here. Either lunch or dinner, everything is fresh. Marvelous salad collection, terrific pasta dishes, and best pizza in town. Service is also 5 star plus the prices are reasonable. Also has a great bar with sports on widescreens. Cannot go wrong, have been coming here for over a decade.

I have worked in Santa Monica for 15 years. Whenever we want to go for a nice lunch, one of the choices is Earth, Wind and Flour. They have a nice lunch menu with lunch specials. The portions are always huge. You will never walk away hungry. My favorite is the Turkey, Avacado and Cheese Sub. Definitely a place worth... More

Earth, Wind and Flour was a surprise experience for my husband and me. We found it through a coupon site and we think it's a terrific find that we want to share. It looks like a very established place but is in great shape. We ate on the restaurant side but there is a bar side with televisions and people... More

This used to be my favorite pizza place on the Westside for years, but the quality has gone seriously downhill in the last 2 years. Despite the tasty pizza sauce, the dough is now often too thick and sometimes totally soggy. We ordered delivery last weekend and the toppings were far too few. One pepperoni per slice doesn't cut it.... More

I'm just now getting around to writing a review of Earth Wind & Flour- but I've been a customer for over 25 years. I no longer live in Los Angeles, but when I find myself in LA I always try to go by and get at least one meal there. EW&F used to have a restaurant in Encino, right near... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
