Fun venue. But I wouldn't write home about the food. And every time I turn up there, my table's not ready and we have to hang around uneasily in the bar for 15 minutes. For what you get, its pretty pricey, too. more
This place doesn't look much to the world on the outside. But the food - wow! Had the most delicious dishes, fish outstanding, seabass so fresh it just fell apart. Loved the various sides and sauces. Decoration is funny, service perfect! Come on, book a table - now! more

We were skeptical about stopping here since there is no view of the ocean and the atmosphere was ordinary. The food and service were anything but. Wonderful lobster tail, perfectly prepared, succulent! more

As we walked, inside the door of The Galley, we smelled a coffee shop feel. Normally not our style, but the tacky lights, pseudo nautical theme with young perky waitresses made us all chuckle, considering the trendy area of Santa monica. Often go to SM with my wife, from UK as part of a California tour. Increasingly difficult to find restaurants where she can eat, as she has some problems which mean no hot spices, no onions even, and most of all, no garlic (garlic mash seems to have taken over the golden state entirely......) We were recommended to this place... more
