I love this place and have given it high marks in the past. It is still one of my favorite go-to Italian Restaurants on the West Side of L.A. It's just a hole-in-the-wall on Ocean Ave., just south of the Santa Monica Pier. Great little dining room with a number of plush red booths. Great service all the way around... More

We were in search of some place casual and close to the Santa Monica Pier, but without the big price tag. Found a nice little Italian place called Bruno's on Ocean Ave., half a block from the Pier. Bruno himself served our group. The Amatriciana Spaghetti was great! Service was fun. Bruno kidded with us and kept things hopping. It's... More

Found Brunos as it was near our hotel, walked in and nobody was there...which was a concern, but it was an odd time (3 o'clock). Split a pizza with my 14 year old son, who is an expert on Pizza's. he was very pleased, as was I. A very good Pizza, at a very good price. I'd go back!

Came here starving and wanting a good meal with the kids. Ordered a pepperoni pizza, everything pizza, two dinner salads and five sodas. Sodas came in cans. No refills here. Pizza is very bland. No sauce to be found. Do not order the pizza with everything on it. Veggies are huge, not cut. Pizza gets soggy very fast. Dinner salads... More

I love the pasta at this restaurant! The owner still does most of the cooking and the waitress has been there for years now. Everyone is very friendly and Bruno's has a great local following. They have an extensive menu, but my favorite is rigatoni with meat sauce and Italian sausage. Nice booths, although the booths number about six. Parking... More

Amazing pizzas & chicken parmagina! The tomato sauce was incredible. The servings were huge. Bruno & his wife were so nice!

We stayed down the street from Bruno's and wandered in for dinner one evening--no expectations. The staff was friendly, the pizza was perfect and the checkered tablecloths gave us a "Little Italy" feel. The wine matched the food in quality and the atmosphere in simple-casual comfort. We liked it so much we went back again the same week.

Bruno's in Santa Monica is a hidden gem in Santa Monica. You get the impression that its a family owned place right off the bat and I love that. I went to Bruno's on new years eve and it was busy but we were sat right away. The server was overtly friendly but seemed nice enough. She didn't check on... More

We ate at Bruno's because it was rated much higher than the restaurants on the SM Pier. I didn't think the food was anything special, and the place was a bit run down. There were also flies buzzing around us the whole time, but the food was just fine. Also you have to spend $30 in order to use a... More
