Been going her over 20 years

Great New York style Italian food, not fine dinning more like home cooking. The place has had a make over since my last visit, new booths and some great pictures on the wall, still retains the same good old style though. Been coming here since my daughter was 12 weeks old she's now 22 yrs old and... read more

First, the negative -- the service when we were there during our vacation on a Saturday night was slow. Like, glacial. Seems they were understaffed, and it seemed stressful. That said, the food was great and, since we weren't in a rush, it was not a big deal to us. But we detected other diners' frustration. I spoke to several... More

While in town for the LA marathon on March 14th and 15th we ate dinner their twice. I had the chicken cacciatore one night and shrimp scampi (both served with a side of spaghetti) and cannoli for dessert (oh! la la). All the food was great, atmosphere was very comfortable and clean and the prices are reasonable. I loved our... More

I have been to Bruno's many times. Most often I drop by with my clients there after their tour. Usually for their Supreme pizza, I often buy an extra pizza to take to some of the homeless in the park near the pier. A few days ago, I walked in to order for me and my co-workers and he refused... we had dinner here last nite, based on Yelp reviews. Very small kind of hole in the wall place, were the Italian owners, husband and wife, treat everyone as their favorite customer. I had a great bowl of Minestrone soup as appetizer, which was great, fresh, and I highly recommend. Daughter had the lasagna which was also ver good. I... More

We enjoyed two great meals as a family when we stayed in Santa Monica over six days. The waitresses were very friendly, the service efficient and our meals extremely satisfying on account of the garlic tomato-ness. :D

Gave it a try. Ordered chicken and it tasted old. Had called in my order to avoid waiting and I still had to wait.

We were in Santa Monica for the night and asked one of the employees of our hotel for dinner suggestions. He gave us several different options with Bruno's being one of his favorites. It was a cold, rainy night and we were freezing when we ducked into this quaint old school Italian cafe. The delicious odors when you first walk... More

The service was good and friendly but the pizza crust was soggy and my husband did not enjoy the chicken cacciatore.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
