We are a family oriented seafood restaurant.  As the longest running restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier, we value our city, locals and the many visitors who frequent our establishment.  We offer a classic setting while providing a modern twist to casual seafood dining. We are committed to serving home-made, fresh seafood, fast.  Although we have added a modern touch to the food and facility we pay tribute to the roots of the restaurant, maintaining its down-home, new-England style, crab shack setting.  We are seafood on the Santa Monica Pier, a place where every generation can break-bread and create traditions in our timeless setting.

Decent Sunday lunch in May

After bike riding we popped in for a late 3pm lunch. Place was half full, we sat outside. Ordered at counter, line went quickly. One reviewer mentioned no local brews, but we had a Santa Monica draught. Food came out in a decent time frame and were good portions of not too big. All the staff... read more

Nice restaurant right on the pier. My wife and I always look for fish tacos on the menu. We usually prefer blackened or grilled, but the beer battered ones here were actually quite good. We sat outside and enjoyed the views while we ate.

Good beer selection, interesting, fresh, and well prepared food. We stopped by in the evening to grab some light food. Place was not crowded, line moved quickly, and service was OK.

I lived in Southern California most of my life. I have never bothered to eat at any of the restaurants on the Santa Monica Pier, however I decided after seeing a line waiting outside the Albright that maybe this restaurant was worth a try. My dad and I took a walk, then came back after they had opened. The line... More

Good fish and chips, fish tacos, sangria, homemade desserts. Everything tasted fresh. A little pricy as you might expect from the Santa Monica Pier particularly given that you walk up to a counter to order. However in the midst of overpriced "fast food", I think this is a safe choice.

Cant beat sitting on the Santa Monica Pier eating great food. We were there on a Saturday night in the evening and boy was it packed, but we still managed to find a seat and our food was served very fast. I wanted seafood but ended up with the tuna salad sandwich that was the best i have ever had.... More

We biked over to the pier and had lunch here. It's right on the pier. There is inside and outside dining with shade. The lobster roll is absolutely delicious and worth a trip just for that.

Was down visiting and came across The Albright. Everyone was hungry so we stopped in and I'm glad we did. The fish and chips were excellent and everyone else's food was great as well. The service was fast and the people were friendly. Definitely recommend

There was hair in my food and no one did anything about it. The food was not very good tasting for the price and it was very dirty. They do not deserve an A because the tables were always dirty.

Come on LA...no local brews that don't taste like Bud? That's the word from this classic seafood place on the Santa Monica Pier. Nice selection of classic beach food -my wife had a decent shrimp po' boy and I had a light battered fish and chips. Ate outside on the sun and it was a classic CA experience!

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
