Good food, convenient on a Saturday night

This was not our first choice for Saturday night but it's very close to our hotel so we gave it a go. Unlike other restaurants there were no queues. The menu was limited but had a good choice of American and Mexican options. The chicken tacos were very good. Only a small part of the restaurant was... read more

We were staying in the Viceroy Hotel over the road from Cora's and decided to have breakfast as from our hotel window it always seemed quite busy and lively. Things got off to a poor start when they did not have what my wife wanted on the menu and deteriorated further when we both chose the corned beef hash and... More

Quite disappointing. Service could be improved. I was told the item I wanted on the menu board was not available when I asked although it says specifically Saturdays and Sundays. How about striking or erasing it then? Menu is too expensive. I paid about $22 for some scrambled eggs, two sausages, a toast and a glass of orange juice. No... More

Road side cafe, prices too high in my opinion and food is ok. But it may be a good alternative to the expensive hotel breakfasts.

My husband wanted to take me to Cora's because he considers the orange pancakes he got on a previous visit his all time favorite. When we got there, there was a line. No employees helped us even though they passed by the waiting group several times. A patron explained that we were to write our names on the wait list,... More

Classic breakfast items such as omelettes, with some big city flair and Latin influences thrown in. We sat outside in a partially covered deck that sits between a busy driving street and a parking lot, but it is surprisingly peaceful. Good coffee and pancakes. Found the portions huge so we would do a split if we went again.

My husband and I stumbled onto this wonderful eatery whilst walking in Santa Monica, and it proved to be a great find.. It was a Saturday morning around brunch and there was a queue of people waiting outside for seats, which I think is always a good sign for a restaurant- we put our names on the waiting list and... Limits Ted seating and great food makes for a wait which is worth it. Tasty, fresh ,appetizing breakfast specialties in large sharing size portions.

Supposed to be open at 7 on Sunday per their website... don't count on it. Nice patio. The food was good but the service was not. I had a good egg white frittata but my server did not mention specials (other servers told their patrons). I spilled some milk and brought it to the waiter's attention but he couldn't be... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
