Excellent

Really quaint place, sitting under a tunnel of bougainvilleas. Service is fast and the menu good for breakfast. Get there early as on w/e and holidays there are always long waiting lines.

We decided to eat here after TA reviews and we were staying at Viceroy just across the road. We ordered the omelette special and the breakfast burrito. Omelette was only ok.....had way too much jack cheddar in it, burrito was really nice. Espresso coffee ok but expensive. We thought it might've been cheaper than eating at hotel restaurant but it... Who would have ever known this place exists? what a super cool concept & atmosphere!! The food is outstanding, and and the service is great!! Right next door to the Seaview Hotel, this place is PERFECT for an early morning coffee & sweet snack or breakfast. The menu is very trendy & gormet, with prices that i consider "to be... More

Was up early so got here when they opened at 7am. It was quiet until about 7:30am, when people started arriving. The terrace is nice and has flowering shrubs growing up and over in a pergola. Had the orange pancakes with Blueberries which was excellent and filling and comfortable for a hungry person. Orange juice and Lemonade also excellent. Coffee... More

It is basically a sidewalk cafe. Very cute outdoor patio and unassuming atmosphere. That said, the food is creative, tasty and fast. We went there twice while spending a long weekend in Santa Monica. I ordered off the extensive daily special list one day and the standard menu the second time. Both were delicious. The wait staff is friendly and... More

Slow cooking/few seats/slow turn around.... besides popular - expect a wait! Or - do what we did and arrive early - we actually found ourselves with portion of diners from the previous morning! - This is high caliber food, high quality, good coffi (and chocolate) - Huevos Rancheros, Salmon frittata something the following day - pancakes looked good, overall a... One visit here early in the morning convinced me this was indeed the place to walk to breakfast near the beach in Santa Monica. Cora's makes outstanding Mexican (and even Turkish) and American breakfasts, on a near-outdoor setting. They'll make you a good Illy cappuccino, too. However, this isn't really a great coffee coffee shop, this is a restaurant that... More

We sat and ate breakfast at the bar itself, the guys work extremely hard and very efficiently. Food and service was excellent, there was a bit of a queue but they have a system in place where customers can put their name on a list and you are called accordingly. Salmon Eggs Benedict was enjoyed! My husband had the steak... More

.....and really good too, the fresh orange juice, buckwheat blueberry pancakes and a decent illy coffee was a faultless start to a warm sunny day on the beach....if only every day could start this way....

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
