Fun Experience!

If you're on vacation, this is a fun, quaint place to visit. Great food, higher prices than usually would pay for breakfast but superb service! Servers: controlled chaos with a courteous manner, super fast. Freshest fruit cup ever, very large portions. Sat under a floral, vined arbor with little... read more

I came here in the 1970's when the place was a tiny little coffee shop with a slightly moody lady serving behind a counter called Cora who was a real character. I had very fond memories of how tiny it was and how good the American style food was. Well after all these years Cora has long gone but the... More

Overreacted place, definitely not worth the money you pay for. Been there last week with my wife and daughter for breakfast. Delivery took too long and breakfast arrived cold. Taste was less and for some reason everything toke long while it was not even crowded. Place is cozy bit not clean, full of aunts and don't be surprised if you... More

I was standing outside of the restaurant waiting for the seat, and one man who lives there for years talked to me that their smoked salmon is the best. I got the sight earlier than him and ordered a bagel with smoked salmon. When the man got a seat, he couldn't have smoked salmon because mine was the last one.

Stopped in for an iced coffee and a cookie. The cookie was the last one in the jar but great. I went back the next day for another and they hadn't made any more.

Sit with the bouganvillas (sp?) blooming and growing make it feel so comfortable. The orange blueberry pancakes were very tasty.

What a delicious, albeit expensive, breakfast spot. In LA for the winter break, we have had really chilly weather. This place has outdoor seating only, and even though the plastic sides were down and there were some ceiling heaters, it was chilly, and it made the great coffee chiily, too.

Our hotel did not do breakfast so we walked down to Coras and sat out under the plants and had a wonderful breakfast. The waiters are very helpful and friendly and we had the pancakes, other days we had eggs, or salad or granola it was all fabulous. Suitable for all ages. Do not miss it if you are in... More

Ate breakfast at Cora's twice while staying nearby. I tried the orange pancakes and an omelette. Both very good. I liked the orange pancakes (the orange flavor is mild and they contain blueberries) much better than the buckwheat pancakes my wife ordered. Fresh sqeezed OJ is awesome. We sat outside both times. Service is definitely on the slow side. One... More

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
