We stumbled upon this jell while in town for a pageant and we all extremely pleased. The coffee was amazing, the food was all so delicious, and the atmosphere and friendly service weer unparalleled. Highly recommended for any occasion. This will be my first stop the next time I'm anywhere near Santa Monica!

Great, unassuming discovery for a delicious breakfast or lunch. The breakfast sandwich and egg white fritatta were especially good.

I stepped in here with my girlfriend on the way to Coachella in 2014. We were staying in the Hotel Shangri La. An American would tell you Cora's is a 20 minute drive from there, as a person from Dublin I can tell you it's an 8 minute walk. If you like the New York Idea of "Going out for... More

Had brunch at this little eatery on busy Ocean Avenue. You can dine indoors, or outside in the vine-covered arbor. We ate outside, which was nice for enjoying the weather; the trade-off is, you're very close to busy, noisy ocean avenue. Food was good enough, though my coffee could have been warmer. Lots of bruch places to choose from in... More

Must be good,we thought, as on first try there we had to sign in and queue, so gave it a miss. Next day came earlier for breakfast and found out why so popular. Too early for thr Salmon benedict but Cora's sandwich great. Coffee good but the star turn was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Bohemian yes but just our... More

Went here for breakfast, should have ordered orange pancakes instead of buckwheat blueberry ones. They were pretty tasty but not outstanding. Wish they had more seating but I suppose that's supposed to be part of the charm of the place. Busy on a Saturday morning, but only waited about 15 min for table for 2. Staff very busy going in... I was able to sit outdoors with my dog by my side at this casual spot. Enjoyed some great coffee and a good lunch without having to abandon my canine buddy.

Cora's prices are a cut above what I would expect to pay. The food is very good, though. The bread and jams are house made and the coffee is great. The servers are very friendly and seem to genuinely appreciate your custom.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
