Big city diner crossed with the beach culture

Classic breakfast items such as omelettes, with some big city flair and Latin influences thrown in. We sat outside in a partially covered deck that sits between a busy driving street and a parking lot, but it is surprisingly peaceful. Good coffee and pancakes. Found the portions huge so we would do a split if we went again.

My husband and I stumbled onto this wonderful eatery whilst walking in Santa Monica, and it proved to be a great find.. It was a Saturday morning around brunch and there was a queue of people waiting outside for seats, which I think is always a good sign for a restaurant- we put our names on the waiting list and... Limits Ted seating and great food makes for a wait which is worth it. Tasty, fresh ,appetizing breakfast specialties in large sharing size portions.

Supposed to be open at 7 on Sunday per their website... don't count on it. Nice patio. The food was good but the service was not. I had a good egg white frittata but my server did not mention specials (other servers told their patrons). I spilled some milk and brought it to the waiter's attention but he couldn't be... More

We went for breakfast and waited about 25 minutes to be seated which was totally fine. Once we sat down the waiter came over and asked what we wanted - we said please bring us a coffee right away and we ordered breakfast. About 10 minutes later we asked about the coffee and said apologized and brought us coffee then.... More

We found this place from trio advisor it's great, rustic relaxed feel to the place. You write your name, party number and time of arrival down when you get there, they call you in and seat you, the locals were waiting with the tourists. The steel cut oats were delicious and the fresh OJ was the best I had all... More

Not a place for those in a hurry. Food is fresh and mostly healthy fare. My favorite is the Capreese omlette. Indoor dining is limited and a bit crowded. Dining alfresco is quite pleasant but frequently a bit chilly so bring a light jacket. Parking: challenging

I only had $63 on me as I forgot my cards in the hotel, but what the hell there is no way you can spend as much as that on a breakfast for 2. Think again! The bill was $61.83 without a tip. Pick me up from the floor I hear you say. The food was food nothing special, but... More

Really quaint place, sitting under a tunnel of bougainvilleas. Service is fast and the menu good for breakfast. Get there early as on w/e and holidays there are always long waiting lines.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
