we were staying at the hotel across the street, and could see the line forming at Cora's every morning. When we tried it, we could see why. The orange and blueberry pancakes were great, the bacon was perfect, and the coffee and juice were very good. Service was friendly and fast. The seating area, in a vine-covered hoop house, was... Reluctant but efficient service and good eggs/omelettes and coffee with home made jam makes a very good breakfast. Go early. no celebs, who cares. Went for the food.

Busy place -- food was so-so, the refritos were not really well-fried and the sauce on the heuvos rancheros was hard to indentify -- on the other hand all the guys who work there were really sweet. It's popular -- there was a long wait on a Saturday morning after Christmas. Some of the tables are under a bouganvilla covered... More

Great little breakfast spot with a nice garden patio. Breakfast was great but expect to wait on the weekends.

Mamones in spanish means "rude people who think they are better than yourself and who humilliate you just because". The food in this place is amazing, delicious. But the waiters are such mamones. Be careful. (I was in the party of 6 from Mexico so you can identify me if you read this).

Gotta go to Cora's whenever I'm in Santa Monica. Steak and Eggs is delicious, as is the coffee. It's walking distance from the hotel that I usually stay in, so that is a big plus!

This was on some LA magazine or Eater list of `cool power breakfast scenes in LA' with the tag line "get the attached gourmet restaurant's food for scandalously cheap from their breakfast shack.' I ordered a tostada that was allegedly short rib and looked and tasted more like cheap sliced steak over chopped supermarket lettuce. I paid close to $40... More

Great menu and everything passing by looked good. Fresh food and large portions. Busy old time diner. Counter and open kitchen need some cleaning and sprucing.

We saw at breakfast on day 1 of our trip that this place won for top 10 burgers in LA. This is my first time in Santa Monica, but I would vote for you too. And I'm picky. Excellent burger! Service ok, beautiful outdoor place to eat, eclectic and we liked that.

We were told that this is the place to eat breakfast in SM. The food was average, overpriced & the wait staff thought they were doing me a favour by doing their job. The coffee was terrible. We were bitten by small insects; suffice to say we didn't return.
