Bangkok West serves delicious and freshly prepared Thai food although portions are not large and prices are somewhat higher than an average Thai restaurant. Service was helpful and friendly when we ordered take out. We enjoyed chicken satay, yellow curry which was at a perfect level of not too spicy, a delicious pad se eau, and refreshing kale and tofu... More

There is great variety of offerings on the menu. The restaurant offer a range of heat to fit your particular taste. The food is never greasy...always tasty. The portions are more then ample and always well presented. If you care to sit down instead of takeout you will find the setting clean and sleek. Believe this is the best of the... More

Admittedly, this gem is a favorite of mine and everyone I bring. There are plenty of items beloved and suitable for each person's dietary restrictions, food allergies and sensitivities. Every menu items is plated beautifully. Many dishes include a medley of vegetables, often comprised of broccoli, bok choy, carrots, baby corn, bamboo shoots, sauted onions, red bell peppers, and green... More

In terms of service, we were seated in 5 or so minutes, but nearly 15 until we had water. Our server was polite and efficient with taking our order, and brought our drinks quickly. It was 20 or so minutes before the food came. In terms of food, it was okay. The curry with tofu was nice; the pad se-eau... More

this is a very nicely decorated, low key and comfortable restaurant with attentive and friendly service and very good food. The prices are a but high, but if you want high quality thai food, this is a good place to go. Noodle dishes, vegetable dishes, soups, appetizers, all got rave reviews from our party of eight. I can vouch for... More

I had the filet that was good overall. I am not a big Thai food person, but I went with a friend and it was good. The soup was excellent, but I can not remember what I ordered. Egg rolls were also delicious with the dipping sauce. Parking is on the street or at the library across the street so... More

If you like your Thai food then you have to give this place a try, the food is delicious and such good value for money. Some of the best Thai food I have tasted was in Thailand, the food I had at Bangkok West was equally as good. The only issue I had was with the duck pancakes as there... More

Love Thai food and this place is up there with the best. Great service, we booked ahead on open table, it worked well, the food was great. Good value too. A short walk from the main Santa Monica drag but worth it.

The curry was great - very authentic. My friends all liked their dishes as well. It seemed a little expensive for what it was, but I guess I am back in Santa Monica now - not Thailand.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
