Ivy at the Shore offers a wide variety of breakfast and lunch specials in a family friendly environment. We have tried Santa Barbara Crab Eggs Benedict which was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Antoinette was one of the best professionals in this business.

I have eaten at the Ivy several times. It has good food and good ambiance. While a little pricey in general, their fish and chips are great and a huge portion at a decent price for Santa Monica.

We were in Santa Monica for my son's wedding and we had a lot of guests flying in. At the last minute we were able to get everyone in 5 tables 32 people. The food and service were excellent and everyone from grandparents to grade schoolers had a great time. I loved the enchiladas and they were sweet enough to... More

When you come in you receive a complimentary glass of champaign. The food is delicious and the best quality. Don't miss out on the desserts. Originally this place was known for their desserts ... finest ingredients in everything from the drinks to the desserts!

Ivy at The Shore makes a mix of American, Mexican and Italian Cuisine, my favorite being their pasta dishes...and their salads. It is a bit pricey for most people but the cuisine is really good. I would recommend for business lunches or special occasions, it can be loud when busy. Ivy at the Shore is right on Ocean Avenue, right... More

Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their meals. The starter zucchini blossoms were different and loved by all. The highlight tho was the banana split. Full of house made gelato and fresh fruit. Large enough that it was shared by all. Of course the complimentary cookie boxes to go are also fantastic. Very nice lunch!

Nice place. Nothing outrageously good or unusual or charming. We had asked for a table on the patio, and confirmed it, but of course when we showed up there was no record of such a request and we were seated inside. Isn't that just the most annoying thing? Everyone place dumb because and service yields to politeness. The drinks were... More

This was my first time at the Ivy and hopefully won't be my last. During a business trip I was invited for lunch and I just fell in love with the place. First the location could not be better. It was beautiful, sunny day in Santa Monica. I ordered the fried chicken since I do not eat seafood and it... More

We decided to visit for an anniversary. Ironically, something always seems to go wrong on an anniversary -- and this time proved no exception. They took us early, which was very nice. We were seated at a small, but comfortable table, decorated with a beautiful bowl of roses. While very nice, this meant there was not really space to put... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
