I am a foodie... and Indian is one of my very favorites. When I found this place years ago, although it was 5 hours from my home, I made it a point to eat where whenever I was near (and force my friends and family to "visit Santa Monica" so we'd be near, on more than one occasion). Just off... More

Visited in new years eve, around 9pm. The ambience is quite basic but welcoming. We were seated and served quickly. The food arrived even quicker, too quick to have been cooked to order. Nevertheless it tasted good, just wasn't top quality. Overall we had a good meal and would probably go back again.

I was excited for some good Indian food but when I walked in and saw we were the only people on a weekend night. The decor was nice but the service terrible. The food was over priced, small portions and limited drink menu. Do not go here.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. So glad we did! While the service isn't 5 star it certainly wasn't poor. We are over here on holidays from Australia, and being the first Indian restaurant we've visited over here, we're not sure if it is usually customary for rice to be included with the meals. It certainly isn't in Australia. The... More

Never been to an Indian restaurant that doesn't include the rice with the entree AND serves minute rice instead of Basmati rice when it IS ordered! Each of our three entrees was skimpy. Service wasn't good. This made for the feeling of being ripped off.

What can I say: we only ate there because there was a 45 minute wait at every other restaurant in Santa Monica. The food was overpriced and very skimpy. The service was non existent. We had to ask for rice ( not included) And on and on.....

This place is horrible. It demonstrates what happens when greed overcomes skill in the restaurant business. The portions are insultingly small, about the size of your palm. The rice is, too. We ordered chicken curry, vegetable curry and naan. Our friends ordered lamb curry and we ordered a side of rice. If you have skill as a restauranteur -- in... More

Classy for an indian restaurant; fairly priced and great authentic indian food. It's been there for at least the 12 or so years I've been visiting Santa Monica and I return to eat there every time!

We spotted this place on the street and as big indian fans decided to give it a go. The decor is awful, the service was poor & the food was the worst indian I have ever had. Avoid.
