Description: Built in 1917, the historic building now home to our Santa Monica restaurant was once a transfer station for the narrow-gauge Red Car line, Los Angeles' first mass transit system. It was later the repair house for the world-famous Pacific Ocean Park, home to the oldest wooden roller coaster west of the Mississippi. These days, we're still a stone's throw from Venice Beach, heart of where L.A. goes to play -- and eat. Also just a few blocks from the waterfront, our sister restaurant in Santa Barbara operates in a century-old brick building originally home to an industrial linen service for seaside hotels. While the Douglas fir floors, soaring ceilings, and glassed cupola have always been features of this historic structure, the sweeping arches facing State Street were added after much of the building crumbled during the 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake.

We had the scallop risotto and swordfish. They were both very good! We were visiting from out of town, so we were disappointed that we couldn't take our leftovers with us. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the price was a little more than what we normally spend, but I think that's average for the... More

Food and service were both great; our waiter accommodated many questions we had with a smile! Just a really fun comfortable atmosphere with cheap parking and we went for a walk along the path by the beach nearby.

My second trip to CA, we were here last year, and we went back! We sat at a table in the bar area, arriving during 'happy hour' --yeah!! GREAT munchies food at reduced prices!! We were a table of 5 people and all left very happy. The service was pleasant, she was very accommodating, as we ordered one thing at... More

This restaurant was very crowded. I would recommend calling ahead and getting a reservation. Food was excellent and large portions. We had the seafood chippino and it was loaded! The parking lot is a bit tricky. It's one of those that you have to pay (automated machine). Quality of the food is excellent and we're picky eaters!

Enterprise Fish Co. is , really, the only place my family goes to for satisfying seafood every time. We've eaten there since the '90's. Plus, we take international guests there and then we can take them for a nice walk on the beach!

Drop a few extra dollars for really good, fresh seafood. Parking is an adventure, but adequate. Service is very good; the young wait staff are interesting to watch. If weather allows, ask for an outside table.

The food here is dynamite. I recently took my daughter here for a special occasion and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service. She had a trout dish that was outstanding. My mahi mahi was also very good. The only complaint is that the place is fairly cavernous and very busy so the noise level is more than loud... More

It was a complete chance choice for dinner. A place was very busy but we managed to get a table. Service was definitely one of the better ones I had in a while. The server was knowledgable and very attentive but did not overdo it. I loved the seafood, definitely worth trying when you are around the area. Cocktails are... More
