So good!

I had no idea we were going somewhere "famous" when my friend and I stopped in for an early dinner. It was delicious! I live in SoCal and have heard of this restaurant and the chef/owners since eating there. Wish I lived closer!

Aaaah! I give myself so much credit for finding a place like this for brunch. I was looking for a comfortable place to enjoy the start of the weekend and drink some bottomless mimosas. One, two mimosas just does not do it... it has to be bottomless. At Border you can for only $10. I think my mimosas ended up... More

Excellent Mexican style food for a great, reasonable price. The guacamole is very good and I truly enjoyed my fish tacos.

Well worth a visit, staff are friendly and attentive. Taco's are amazing and the bean and rices although look a bit odd on the plate are as tasty as the main meal its self. We had margaritas and they were strooooong. So if thats you're bag this is the place for you.

Ate here for Brunch on a Saturday. It was a flat fee for all you could each tapas. Each plate was excellent. You order 3 to get started and then keep ordering until you are full....then you keep ordering because it is so delicious you can not stop.... One word to the wise, it is very loud in the restaurant.

We searched out this restaurant as we are fans of Chef Susan. The restaurant did not disappoint. The food was extremely fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. Don't be in a hurry at this restaurant as the food is not prepared in advance but prepared at the time of order. The interior of the restaurant is upscale, bright, and colorful. The... More

A very enjoyable meal with a good selection of modern Mexican food and a good range of wines and beers. A good buzz about the pace and service efficient and very friendly. Recommended for a group.

I had high hopes for this experience as I'm a huge Top Chef Masters fan and my expectations were FAR exceeded. The service at "Border Grill" was beyond amazing! From the moment you walk in, the hostess greeted us with genuine joy to see us. The servers exuded happiness! The chef came over after our meal and spoke with our... More

As soon as I knew we would be in LA I wanted to go to Border Grill. Loved watching both chefs on TOP CHEF masters and knew I had to get to their restaurant. Start to finish the most yummy, unique and gorgeous plate of "Border" style fare I have had in ??????? Absolutely need to add this to your... More

First time at Border Grill I had the most delicious yucatan pork and best margarita with yummy tres leche cake! That day there were also a few famous faces sitting near my table. This last time I was pressed for time and unfortunately had a much 'lighter' lunch...but it was still very filling and satifying. The non alcoholic pomegranate lemonade... More

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
