Border Grill has been around quite a long time but it still delivers. I had the sauteed shrimp and when I first touched them with my fork I worried they might be overcooked but they were actually perfectly cooked and very flavorful. And the rice served with it was also very good. My dining companion had the chicken enchiladas and... More

I enjoyed the Mexican food at this well known establishment. My only complaint would be that they charge $11 for a basic margarita and fill the glass mostly with ice. You probably end up with about eight swallows of margarita, which I think shortchanges the customer at this price.

I was very excited to go here because of the Chefs who were both on Top Chef Masters. The food was really fresh and delicious. Our waiter brought out an appetizer on the house for us to try - he was really attentive (but not too much). Loved the atmosphere and the margaritas were amazing!! Food was nicely plated -... More

Beginning with the chips, salsa, and guacamole we knew we were in good hands. Our mains were all delicious - five of them to be exact and all quite different. We had a vegan, a carnivore and 3 that eat just plain good food. No complaints. And our waiter was exceptionally good. One entre wasn't what was ordered and he... More

The food was fresh and well presented. Great variety of margaritas and delicious pomegranate lemonade (to which I added vodka). The staff was friendly and attentive.

Nothing special. Very average. Plenty other options and choices. Staff were nice but can't make up for uninspiring menu or food

I can't go on enough about this cool, hip restaurant found in Santa Monica. We were looking for breakfast, anywhere and seen this cool looking spot. Brunch and lunch were both served. We ordered brunch which cost $29 a piece which was a little intimidating, not being the most rich 22 year old in the world. Brunch was a buffet... More

I don't usually go to "chains", i.e. multi-unit restaurants, but my sister brought us all to Border Grill in Santa Monica for a birthday party and it was a delightful surprise. First thing, when you enter (I understand all of the Border Grills are like this) you can't help but be awed at the bold colors and paintings of the... More

Excellent guacamole - some of the best from the 2 month trip we just had in the States. The service was great, and the tacos were also very good. We definitely recommend if you're in Santa Monica and want Mexican

staff was as good as the food and the food was excellent. for drinks they offer a few beers, a few wines and a tequila. I did not see any other liquors - but that was enough for a wedding with about 140 attendees.
