We ate breakfast here every day for a week! Never had a bad meal, all was great. We mostly ate omlettes, scrambled eggs, chocolate chip waffles were good too. It was always busy, but we always got a table and wait staff were helpful and service was quick even in really busy times.

We went here for breakfast, and as an Aussie, there was no way we could get through the serving size. Could of fed all of us on one serving! Coffee was okay, food was okay, breakfast potatoes were horrible! Okay but probably wouldn't go back there again.

Attractive cafe just around the corner from the Promenade, and about 3 blocks from the beach and the famous Santa Monica Pier. Interesting menu with more than a dozen different omeletes, several versions of Eggs Benedict, specialty pancakes, and plenty of other healthy options (including vegan & gluten-free). Portions are huge. Popular among local folks. Free parking (for the first... More

I ordered an omelette with a coffee. The omelette was good, which comes with a side of fruit and sour dough. Omelette was quality and larger enough to be filling. However, I can not understand the lack of quality coffee in US.

If you like a hearty, healthy breakfast, this is your place. They have an interesting and comprehensive menu. We enjoyed the ambiance and the attractive, friendly staff. This is my favorite breakfast hangout in SM.

We ate here before we left for the airport. The service was quite slow and the food was average. Would not make a trip back in a hurry!

Good service, good food, good prices. That's what I want in a restaurant no matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Jinky's Cafe is a place that you might walk passed without paying much attention, except for the huge numbers of people overflowing out the doors and onto the general sidewalk. I had absolutely no expectations, except that I knew that I was hungry and wanted an omelet, and maybe a pancake. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated, and... More

I love Jinky's for breakfast. The chef/cook always makes my egg whites and turkey bacon perfectly with fresh ingredients. It is very crowded in the mornings, but wait time is short. There is a City Garage close by to park, & it is two blocks from the Santa Monica Beaches, one block from the Third Street Promenade, and Santa Monica... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
