This is a special place. Wonderful ambiance, service and scary good food. The risotto porcini is delicious, the fish and meat offerings especially on the grill are a signature delight. Desserts are likewise memorable. Try this, you'll love it.

As a true New Yorker, the one thing I struggle with in LA is finding great, traditional style Italian food and Capo has managed to do that so well! AS many of the reviews state Capo is not a place to go on a budget but maybe more for a special day or event. If you are not paying attention... More

This was the third time I have dined at Capo. While the food here is very, very good, I’ve concluded the dining selections are overpriced for what is offered. I think this is due to the size of the establishment that while near the beach does not have the advantage of an ocean view. The tables in the middle of... More

The atmosphere is gorgeous and the servers are all on the top of their game. It's going to be difficult to find a better 5 Star eatery with a menu like CAPO, in all of Los Angeles; BUT buckle up for the expense. I need to point that out, as one must be forewarned, BUT if you are in the... More

Unique dining experience. Fabulous waitstaff, whimsical atmosphere and good food. Very pricey--so choose wisely. The wood burning oven and glass enclosed kitchen really set the atmosphere. We had lobster and Dover sole--both were uniquely plated and delicious. I asked the waiter to choose my glass of wine and he did not dissapoint. If you did want a bottle, though--they have... More

Capo came recommended to us as one of the best restaurants in St Monica and I do have to say it was just ok. On the plus side, we didn't have a reservation for our party of 2 on a busy Thursday night and still got accommodated within 20 minutes. We first had drinks at the bar, near the inside... More

The service at Capo was excellent. The food at Capo was excellent. My party had 3 of the pastas as appetizers - the white corn ravioli was a highlight. They offered to split the pastas we wanted into individual servings on one plate, which was cool. Unfortunately, they were out of the wine we wanted, so they suggested something else... More

Just a short walk along Ocean Avenue south from the Santa Monica Pier is Capo, one of the best restaurants LA has to offer. Try anything, and you will like it.

WOW, we have tried to go here time and time again and couldn't get a reservation. It is very - VERY pricey, but delicious, from the bread to the dessert. And in between -- Steak Tartare -- corn ravioli -- frisee salad and soft shell crab -- each one uniquely wonderful. We had a great 1/2 bottle of wine --... More
