Amazing food as always

This was my second time there. the calamari appetizer is excellent and the beef rigatoni pasta was amazing! Would go again but be prepared to spend a lot. Corkage fee was 50.

An intimate restaurant that seems to be a place for the people in the know (yes, we saw celebrities)it has a charming atmosphere. The truffle ravioli was the "best I have ever eaten", my veal scaloppine was prepared to perfection. This restaurant is small so reservations in advance might be a gapped idea.

While the food is excellent - tippy top notch, the service is what sets it apart. Flawless. Attentive, but not overly so; thoughtful, but not fawning. The dining room is warm and cozy, and the menu is fairly traditional Italian. We had an exceptional meal - spit roasted chicken, farmer's salad, apple tart and chocolate volcano. Breads are very good... More

Capo is a relatively small restaurant offering food well prepared and well presented. My only negative comment concerns the way that waiters describe the dishes on the menu. Too much enphasis on describing how the food preparation and cooking..... . That may appeal to some customers but to me it seemed too syrupy...a bit like a lesson to kindergarten children.... More

The only thing good is a nice dining room. The food was horrible. We started with appetizers. The sweet corn ravioli with white truffles was average. It used to be much better. The raviolis were very doughy. The sweet corn wasn't very sweet and the truffles tasted like they were just out the freezer. The salads were so salty it... More

Beautiful restaurant near three expensive hotels. They must to grease the concierges because the place th place is always busy in spite of rude staff and overpriced food. A true tourist trap !

This is my second time while traveling to eat at Capo. It's fantastic. The environment is intimate, the service excellent, and the food is top notch. I had the most amazing smoked calamari, like none you have ever had. This is definitely a splurge dinner but well worth it.

Great food and service and the check reflects the quality. Outstanding duck Prosciuto and ravioli with truffles. Fish perfect. Finish with apple tart.

We went here for my birthday dinner based on a recommendation from my husband's coworker. Atmosphere: The outside is nondescript and one might drive past the restaurant without even noticing it's there aside from the valet stand out front. The atmosphere is intimate, tables are close to each other and the dimly lit room gives a romantic vibe. Food: Average...maybe... More

We were having a family celebration and went to Capo. No question the food is fantastic but as other reviewers have noted, it is crazy expensive. Having said that, I had the best Rigatoni (truffle meat sauce) I have ever had in my life! The Linguini Vongole was also outstanding. The Rabbit was overcooked and was a disappointment but everything... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
