Moderately priced Italian restaurant

We've been eating at Fritto Misto for over a decade. It is a simple, moderately priced Italian restaurant with good food and service. The only down side is they don't take reservations for less than six guests and at times there is a long wait for a table. We love the atomic pasta and the... read more

This small Italian restaurant had the feel of a local eatery. I noticed many of the regulars bringing their own wine bottles. Food was very good, especially the sweet potato ravioli. Good service. Energetic, a little bit noisy, but not too much.

a "neighborhood" Italian with Latin influence restaurant. The red pepper fettuccine in a garlic cream source was out of this world. The service was outstanding and a great wine list at fantastic prices. Small list but well chosen. When our server found out this was our first visit , he gave us a free dessert to share ; which was... More

We visited this place after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. After a day of sightseeing and wondering around the pier we were all looking a bit tired and messy, so after passing multiple restaurants which looked far too upscale for us, we came across the casually warm and charming Fritto Misto! Our servers were all very attentive and friendly, we... More

Large dishes of pasta and a meat for 12$ their Pink sauce was the table favorite, they are very generous with their sauce portions which is great to dip the free bread in also, if we had a microwave could of easily been two meals especially for the kids, but even me with enough bread

went here tonight as a quick last minute dinner plan with the family after a busy week. A lot of people had recommended it as a 'great' place. I would probably say it was average. The dishes were traditional Italian and if you want a pasta it would be cheaper to go with a create your own. the staff though... More

We didn’t feel like cooking on New Years Eve, so decided to try this place. Our son and his wife reported consistently seeing lines at this restaurant at dinner time. We we’re thankful that we came early: by 6:00 PM there were no tables available! Food and wine were outstanding! Service by Elené was excellent. Popularity is well deserved! See... More

Nice food ! Waiters are very friendly and the food comes out of the kitchen real fast. Good size dishes that can be shared. Deserves being ranked best Italian in Santa Monica.

I noticed that the tripadvisor reviews for Fritto Misto were pretty positive, so we headed over on a Saturday night to check it out. After circling the restaurant a couple of times we found metered parking at the Blue Bus parking area close by. We were seated in less than 10 minutes and served drinks quickly. My husband ordered the... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
