Not fancy - definitely good.

Lunch here with foodies one of whom was vegan. No problem. The menu offered many choices. The service was good and the decor is very pleasant. Even when they were busy, they were attentive and no long waits occurred. Much better than many of the trendier Santa Monica restaurants nearby.

Everyone, including my picky teen, had great meals. Big portions, great to share. You can pick your own pasta, sauces and toppings. No waiting at 5.

nothing fancy or trendy, just a flat out great restaurant serving some of the best dishes. Had the Atomic Pasta which one one of the best meals I've had in a while. Can't say enough good things about this place, Absolutely top notch. A must-go if you are in SM

This isn't a gourmet or fancy Italian pasta place, but the prices are good, the service quick, portions big, you can bring your own wines for a modest cost and the food is pretty decent. The downside, is finding a place to park and waiting for a table, as they take no reservations, and by 6:30 p.m., you often have... More

On a short visit to Santa Monica this restaurant was recommend to us. Lovely staff - great authentic Italian food. Big portions - everything home made. Delicious. Our waitress recognised it was our first visit and gave us a beautiful chocolate cake to share after our meal.

I went here for a quick takeout lunch and ordered at the counter. I had a green salad with gorgonzola and lightly breaded chicken breast. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The portion was generous too for the cost. would happily go here again.

The menu in this place is extensive. There are many pasta options to chose from and the option of create your own pasta. We ordered the fettuccini with goat cheese and the rigatoni siciliano. The food was flavorful and hearty. The arrabiatta sauce had heat on it as advertised. The service was attentive. There was a lot of refiling the... More

Travelling from Australia and this was our first night in LA. Looked up the best restaurants to eat at via TripAdvisor and saw that this place was at the top of a long list. Walked there from our hotel and very glad we did. The food, service and value was amazing. The best Gnocchi I've ever eaten and the size... More

Why is everything so heavy?! Dishes weren't really Italian.... Sort of Italian American with their own little spin. Most of their dishes sound alike. The Chicken Marsala with vegetables was very bizarre- chicken on top of shredded veggies, the whole thing drowned in Marsala. Wouldn't rush back. I was totally turned off by the flies and the last diner's crumbs... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
