Recommended by our travel agent, what a great recommendation, only 10 minutes walk from Shore Hotel. We visited for an early dinner and received a massive warm welcome from Cinthya. We started with a complimentary bread basket, very fresh. Cinthya made recommendations for the vegetarians in our group; goats cheese fettuccini, Mediterranean pasta and the special of pumpkin ravioli -... More

We always visit when in Santa Monica. I get the same dish butternut ravioli with sage cream sauce. My personal favorite. But all the dishes are good, they even have build your own at the most reasonable prices in city... $6 for pasta choice including gluten & gourmet then 3 up for sauces. Deserts all homemade and only 5.00, wine... More

Great pasta etc Italian restaurant. Great for families b/c so many items to choose from. almost dizzying actually. Priced well too. My only complaint is that technically they served me the wrong pasta (another similar one to what i ordered) - still great though. create your own pasta dish is a great concept. not totally novel but very well done... Random search for Italian dining for dinner in Santa Monica turned up this gem. Small, family-style place, busy, full but wait time was less than advertised and name taker was very courteous and communicative. Waiter was efficient, knowledgeable and gave good recommendations (ex: TIramasu, the larger version). Wine selection was limited but excellent. Price was very good - I would... More

This is a great little Italian place with incredible food. They have a great selection of entrees covering all Italian options. The meat sauce is probably the best! Worth a visit.

The pasta is cooked perfectly. Without doubt very good food. You won't leave hungry. The porsions was too big. I'm 6.4 and I almost couldn't finish. They'd do better by cutting down the size of the plate. Also wine and spirits are affordable - E.g. 6 $ glass of wine. Enjoyed it!

As usual, picked up a restaurant based on reviews but this time it was a disappointment. After a week in US, we really wanted to have a nice plate of Pasta. We asked the simplest spaghetti, with fresh tomatoes and basil. I know I can't expect the same of what I have back in Italy, but I have been to... More

Great Italian spot if you're looking for straight up authentic Italian food. Nothing too fancy, just delicious large portions that come out fast. We had a great first experience here, and our server was attentive and friendly all night. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Every time I come here, I get something new -- and it is ALWAYS delicious and fresh. I am a big fan of the Garlic Shrimp, as well as the Pasta Pancetta. Bring a bottle of wine for some cheap corkage fees -- only $2.50/person! You won't regret it. Arrive early because there is often a long wait, especially on... More

As a foreigner, I really wanted to find a good spot for some Italian food. Fritto Misto is worth a try, I most certainly enjoyed my meal there. The service is excellent and they also have a decent wine list. I haven't tried the desserts myself but it looks like it's worth a try as well.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
